My wife said “this company is so honest, trustworthy, and just real people trying to make a honest living.” We were lucky to get to know them. A great company. "I had my driveway paved by Clint Crumley in November of 2024. He wanted 5k upfront which should Never be paid. I paid 42,690.00 total. After a big rain the sides of the driveway Started to fall away. They told me we Would have to do the work on the sides before they would come back. The company that recommended them said It wasn?t the customer?s job and that SSC had the equipment to do this repair And they should honor their commitment to us. The owner cursed at my family member and also accused me of insulting him when I said I would have another company look at the driveway and give their opinion. I am a 75 yr old senior widow and do not need to be treated like this. They gladly took my money and lied about their intentions to do a good job for us. I would never recommend them to other people. "I am writing to formally address the issues concerning the project I hired Jackson of J & M Concrete to complete at my property. The scope of work was to diagnose and repair a pond leak as well as address a sinkhole, with an estimated project completion time of 2-3 days. The estimated total price was $6300, of which 50% was to be paid in advance, $3150 was paid. On January 2, 2025, Jackson, of J & M, poured some concrete, which was to cure and settle before the next phase. The project was left incomplete. Jason removed all equipment and left the job site by the next morning, leaving large ruts in the yard from the trackhoe and other heavy equipment. The sinkhole was not addressed, nor the pond leak. It has remained unfinished and has been getting worse during the last 2 and a half months. I called days two and three when there was no sign of them coming back and made numerous phone calls over the next couple months to find out when they would be back to finish the job, seeing as they were paid beyond the scope of the job they did. It has been more than 2 ½ months and no return phone call. At the end of February, I received a letter from the concrete company contracted by J &M, Smyrna Ready Mix Concrete, which is seeking payment for their services – “Notice to Contractor and Request for Notice of Commencement, O.C.G.A & s.44-14-361.5.” I called them and found out that their bill had not been paid by J & M. I notified Jackson about this matter and he texted back saying he was in Florida and would call in the upcoming week due to a death in the family. As of today, March 13, the pond continues to leak, and the sinkhole remains unresolved, even growing in size. The equipment used during the project caused enough damage to require that additional fees be spent for hiring a landscaper to address the ruts in the lawn left by the trackhoe, as well as the excavated hill dirt used to block the creek from flowing into the pond. The partial blockage diverted the water, causing it to overflow its banks. Fortunately, the blockage has since been cleared."
