If it is a typical service call (leaky faucet, toilet running etc.) We work on an hourly rate of $90 an hour plus cost of parts. Bigger jobs like remodels, complete new sewer/ water lines etc., would be priced by the job by Derek himself, he has to look and get correct figures and amout of supplies to give a better price to the customer per job.

"Hired this plumber to install a simple sink in a manufactured home. What should’ve been a straightforward job turned into a 12+ hour disaster. Even after all that time, he still didn’t complete the installation. He showed up unprepared—missing parts, bringing the wrong ones, and making multiple trips to the store throughout the day. He seemed unsure of what he was doing and wasted hours trying to figure it out. To make matters worse, he drilled holes where he shouldn’t have, leaving visible damage. And when he finally left (without finishing), he left the place a complete mess—trash, unnecessary holes, and random leftover supplies scattered about everywhere. He’s not even worth the one star I’m forced to give—this website requires a rating just to post a review. If I could give negative stars, I would. Save yourself the headache and hire someone who actually knows what they’re doing"

It is not advisable to use drain cleaner in a washing machine. Drain cleaners contain harsh chemicals that can damage the internal components of your washer, including rubber seals, hoses, and even the drum. These chemicals can also react with any residual detergent or fabric softener, potentially leading to noxious fumes. If your washing machine is experiencing drainage issues, it's best to address the problem directly by inspecting and cleaning the lint filter, checking for clogs in the drain hose, or seeking professional repair services. Using drain cleaner in a washing machine is a risky solution that can cause more harm than good.

Pouring hot water down a drain can help unfreeze drainpipes, but it may not thaw a frozen water pipe that is completely blocked further down in your plumbing. In some circumstances, it can cause more ice buildup. You may need to use another method, like a space heater or hot towel. If you use boiling water to thaw a drainpipe, make sure your pipes can handle the heat. Over time, boiling water can damage plastic pipes.

If the drain is frozen, the pipes connecting to the washing machine are likely frozen. If the hot water trick doesn’t also unfreeze the washing machine pipes, you can gently apply heat with a hair dryer on the lowest setting. Start at the end of the pipe closest to the faucet to prevent pressure from building in the pipes, and make sure the faucet is open to drain the water as it melts.

There are a few ways to unclog a toilet without a plunger. Break up the clog with homemade solutions containing soap, vinegar, and baking soda, or simply let hot water spend some time in the drain. You can also use a two-liter soda bottle filled with water to push pressurized water into the pipe to dislodge the debris (see the steps above).

For disposal clogs with standing water, use a sink plunger and place it over the garbage disposal drain. Push the sink plunger up and down the drain about six to eight times before lifting. If the sink drains, the clogged food particles are dislodged from the drain. If there’s still standing water, repeat the steps until the standing water clears out.
