"The work went smoothly. The crew of approx. 8 workers arrived at 7:15AM and worked steadily in the 90 degree heat up on the roof. When completed by 12:15PM they had cleaned up and hauled away all construction debris, nails, etc. We did have concerns about a couple of shingles and molding and Advantage sent out a repairman to take care of them afterward. We are satisfied with the roof and feel the work was professionally done. Advantage is a member of Albany Better Business Bureau and it gave a rood report but with a couple of complaints which had been satisfied. The other companies were not members and the Bureau could give us no information on them. Advantage does have a GA residential/contractor license. However the copy of its Certificate of Liability Insurance which it provided us was actually in another company's name, which the Advantage rep said was "the roofer that Advantage contracted with." We would recommend a a fixed price contract as unknown extras can be costly. We were advised that new felt is important as is replacing rotted wood so we wanted them included. Other contractors charged extra for them. Most of the companies we contacted charged a fee to use a credit card but Advantage waived it at our request."
