We are a 3rd generation family owned company. We have been in Savannah, GA for over 40 years. We have licensed plumbers on staff to help with any of your plumbing needs. We have trained Rinnai technicians on staff.

"I received a call from Savannah's Water Co. informing me that my water meter reflected that I was using 84 gal. of water an hour and had used 23,000 gal. of water in the past 25 days. I immediately called Henry Plumbing Co (in Savannah, GA)., which I had trusted and used for years and always recommended to others, to see if they could find a leak. The scheduler at this company is always accommodating, and she had 2 of the company's plumbers at my house within a couple of hours. After spending around 2 hours inspecting the interior of my home, I mentioned there was standing water on the back lawn, which I had never seen previously. They said they would take a look around my home, which has a slab foundation, after checking out the interior water sources. After their outside "inspection," the plumber-in-charge told me that they could not find a leak anywhere. Therefore, I had 2 options: 1. They could check for a leak, before leaving, with a "leak locator device." The cost for "this service," as I recall, was close to $500 and not guaranteed to even locate the leak. I was later told that Savannah's American Leak Detector charges a flat $350 to find a water leak, with the guarantee they WILL find it. 2. OR I could have my 30-year-old home, which recently underwent major improvements and is in stellar condition, totally re-piped (which, I have since been informed, would likely cost approximately $75,000-$100,000k for the re-piping and then all of the repairs in my 3.5 bathrooms, laundry, and kitchen as walls would have to be removed and, predictably, some of my expensive wood flooring). And, of course, there was no guarantee that a leak would even be found inside after all of that. Nevertheless, this was VERY obviously the route they were recommending I "choose"--even though not 1 sign** of needing re-piping (listed below) was present. **Frequent plumbing leaks, Noisy pipes, Visible pipe corrosion, Discolored water, Bad-tasting or bad-smelling water, Fluctuating water temperature.** Before the plumbers left, I paid them my bill of $264 for "looking for an unfound leak" and putting new flappers on 2 toilets. I feel like it was money thrown out-the-window, except for the 2 flappers. Shortly after they left, I called the gentleman who had checked my irrigation system (in my new home) the week before and shown me how to use it. After I explained the situation to him, he told me that what I had just experienced was outrageous; he would be at my house within a couple of hours, and then he WOULD find my leak and stop it. And that is just what he did. He effortlessly found the leak right outside my kitchen door in less than 5 minutes, by which time my side lawn was like a small swamp. In less than 20 minutes, he had stopped the almost month-long flow of water the two plumbers could not even locate. Once the leak was found and stopped, I sent an email to the plumbing company telling them about the person who had found and repaired my leak in less than 30 min., along with pictures . I also mentioned that I had a faucet I needed to have installed on a mud sink in my garage--and I felt, after all the unnecessary stress I had been exposed to by their plumbers, that I thought it would be an act of goodwill to a long-time, loyal customer if they would install my faucet at no charge. Though the owner of the plumbing company was sent my email, I never even received the courtesy of a reply from her. I called someone else to install my faucet, and I will never again deal with Henry Plumbing Co, of Savannah, GA and will warn others as well about my experience. Regardless of what Henry Plumbing may say to justify what happened, I consider their modus operandi a "scare tactic" used about what could possibly happen if I did NOT decide to contract for the re-piping of my home. Of course, I feel certain they would say they were just "doing their job" by outlining the possibilities available. It is also noteworthy that this company is NOT Better Business Bureau accredited. I can't help but find this plumbing company's promoted motto an oxymoron: "Your Home's Best Friend.""

"I contacted Jenkins Plumbing in Pooler Georgia to identify and repair a slab leak that was coming up from under my home's foundation. Their office sent a young man who informs me upon arrival that their air compressor is inoperative that day but he will use another leak detection method similar to a stethoscope instead. The normal detection system uses a high pressure air tank that blows air into the pipes and is one of the most accurate methods for identifying the leak location. He assures me that the audio detection will be just as effective and since I am at a tremendous disadvantage without water and in need of an immediate leak repair I reluctantly agree. I point to a spot in my house where I hear the water flowing. But instead he proceeds to use his stethoscope and points to a spot in another room. He then proceeds with a jack hammer to dig a 15 foot trench through 2 rooms, tearing up hardwood flooring and ceramic tile, ending up at the exact spot where I heard the leak. He then replaces a 5" section (the one thing he did correctly...I hope). Believing the worst is over I go back to my office while he proceeds to fill in the 15' trench with concrete. Upon my return and inspection of his finished concrete work I realize that he did not use a finishing trowel. He simply poured the quickcrete leaving an uneven surface that could not support the replacement tile or wood flooring. That evening my wife and I had to chisel the concrete by hand which took about 2 hours of hard labor. The next day I contacted and spoke directly with Mr. Jenkins about this shoddy work and asked for some consideration of the $1200 I paid. He said no, that Jenkins Plumbing does not guarantee their work and he is not responsible for the results. I cannot emphasize enough the lack of professionalism demonstrated by this company and the owner Mr. Jenkins. Feel free to contact me directly."

We are a specialty contractor where put customer service FIRST and foremost. We believe in making repairs onetime, the first time and we continue to hold true to our values of ethics, integrity, and honesty. Find out why we are one of the, if not the most referred and preferred HVAC companies in all of SC and GA Lowcountry!!

"First guy came fixed it and said it was going and we would need a new one soon. So we would use it till it went. No issue there. Called them back because the water was not hot enough and he did not put it back where it was. They said it would not be no cost since they where just here. Different guy came and said he didn't touch it and it the water heater so he would have to charge me. As far as I'm concern I don't know what He did under the house but I will be able to tell when I run the water if he higher it or not and I was not going to pay them. He left and he did higher it because my hot water so far is good. They were looking to put a new one in. Yes eventually I will need one we know that but I don't need a company they is money hungry and try to get over on people."

Sewer Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Sometimes, the drain is just too clogged—thanks, stubborn hair and soap scum. In this case, you’ll need a more powerful drain cleaner than you can DIY safely at home. But this doesn’t mean you have to choose a traditional drain cleaner.

You can find biodegradable drain cleaners at your local home improvement store or online for those drains that need a little more oomph

While on the hunt for a formidable drain cleaner, the best options are non-chemical clog solutions that combine enzymes and bacteria.

Snakes can occasionally enter homes through shower drains, although it’s quite rare. This can happen when they follow sewer pipes or accidentally find their way into plumbing systems. To minimize the risk, consider installing drain covers or stoppers on your shower drains. Always keep drains closed when they’re not in use, especially in areas where snakes are known to be active.

Main sewer lines can clog for several reasons. For example, if you regularly dump oil or grease down your drain, it could eventually block your line. Sometimes, tree roots can penetrate and grow inside old sewer pipes, creating a major blockage. Flushing bulky items (like paper towels, diapers, or baby wipes) can also clog your plumbing system.

It’s true: Thanksgiving is known as one of the busiest days of the year for plumbers. The day after Thanksgiving is also a jam-packed day, as people reckon with the issues caused by pushing too much turkey meat down the garbage disposal or other plumbing problems. If you run into a plumbing emergency during Thanksgiving, you can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that plenty of plumbers work on Thanksgiving due to the uptick in demand.

Black Friday, also known as the day after Thanksgiving, is one of the busiest days of the year for plumbers. Plumbing pros receive many service requests for clogged drains, garbage disposal issues, and clogged sewer lines. Don’t hesitate to call a plumber on Black Friday if you experience emergency plumbing problems.
