"José and his team are amazing. The price is very reasonable for the quality and speed of service. They did an excellent job on a full clean out of our yard (mowing, weed removal, leaf removal, edging). We will be continuing to use Lawn Teacher for biweekly maintenance."

Small jobs welcome

"Mario made sure to go get all of the tools needed for the job even after arriving to start. We appreciated that he was able to work the exact day that we needed someone to clean up the yard. He mowed and did edge work as well as leaf blower and bagged 6 yard collection bags. The yard is large and had more loose debris, but he definitely earned the amount of money that we budgeted for the job. Thanks Mario!"

"This man responded to my service call same day (Friday) by telephone and was able to give me an estimate that afternoon. The estimate was very reasonable/fair. He came the next morning (Saturday) to complete the work, showed up on time, completed the job quickly. I would definitely hire him again."

"I think they treated the wrong lawn. The note they sent me via text message referenced trees and shrubs in my yard, I have none. They also did not leave a yard marker showing they had been there. Otherwise, this would have been a 5 star review."

"Reliable, professional, and consistent every time. He has been cutting my yard for almost a year now, and the quality of work has always been great. He also cleaned out my gutters and even laid cement to fix my driveway, which turned out really good. I truly appreciate someone who can handle multiple things and still do quality work. Definitely dependable, hardworking, and easy to work with. I would absolutely recommend his services to anyone looking for great lawn care and home upkeep work."

Lawns questions, answered by experts

Seal bags firmly for materials like soil or mulch, store unused parts in dry and cool spaces to prevent decay and use material visually formed covers for extended periods.

If composting feels too complicated, mulching is an effective alternative. While composting focuses on breaking down yard waste to feed the soil, mulching uses that same organic material as a protective top layer. It's a quick way to get value from leaves, grass clippings, and other yard debris without the time or effort composting requires.

While minimal, maintenance includes periodic brushing, debris removal, and potential infill replacement if excessive use causes compaction.

No, you cannot throw branches from your neighbor’s tree back into their yard, nor can you discard leaves or other plant matter that originated from their yard back over there if it happens to land in your yard. You are responsible for cleaning up plant matter that made its way into your yard.

There are several ways to decompose yard waste quickly. The first step is to move all debris into a compost bin or pile. From there, microorganisms, bacteria, and insects will break down the yard waste into compost. To speed things up, shred the waste into smaller pieces, add live worms to the pile, or introduce nitrogen-rich compost accelerators like grass clippings, coffee grounds, and manure. Turn the compost over every few days. This process, called aerating, allows oxygen to get in and accelerate decomposition.
