"I live out of state and needed a repair done for my rental. I called Renato first by chance and I’m so thankful I did. He was able to go to the property just a few hours after the initial call. He communicated clearly and quickly throughout the process. ( not all companies can grasp the need to talk to both me and the tenant) My tenant was so pleased with the work."

"Chris and crew were very professional. They arrived on time, they went above and beyond, they put tarps all around the house to catch trash, they covered plants and bushes, tore off roofing, replaced tar paper replaced some of my vents finished the job in one day. Chris was very easy to talk to and followed all my requests. He was not here when job was finished the crew cleaned up ran magnet roller over the yard removing all the nails that had fallen. Chris came by the next day so we could pay him. Great guy, great crew will defineatly hire again."

"I called two contractors to come out and look at the problem area. The first guy was useless-/ looked at the wet spot in the basement, walked around the perimeter, then wrote out an expensive proposal for waterproofing. This company did not charge for the visit. Then Anthony arrived. He cut a hole in the sheetrock and explored the whole area very carefully, including turning on the hose full blast and running it right along the foundation for 30+ minutes. He found the problem— a leaky pipe— and gave us a competitive bid. I was very impressed with Anthony. He was there over an hour and clearly was not going to leave until he found the answer to the problem. Kudos to Anthony and Basement King for outstanding customer service. I’m a Realtor and you can bet that all of my colleagues will get my strong recommendation to use this company in the future. The $50 charge for the visit was money well spent, whereas the $0 charged by the first contractor was an appropriate amount for what I got— nothing."

"AG Builders Company is top notch. I had 3 rooms needing vast repairs due to flooding. AG Builders were professional, efficient, exhibited quality work, have a great sense interior decor, up on latest interior design trends, and offered professional advise per my repairs. My kitchen was beautifully remodeled, my business/recording studio was brightly repaired, and carpet in one of my rooms was balanced and nicely installed. AG Builders were knowledgable about the work they did and took time to explain what the repairs entailed. I was blessed immensely to find AG Builders. I strongly recommend them for any home work. I will definitely use them again."

Egress Windows questions, answered by experts

When you need new windows depends on a variety of factors, including the age of your windows, the age of your home, and the climate you live in. If you’re dealing with budget constraints, you don’t need to replace all your windows simultaneously.

When buying new windows, you should consider energy efficiency, safety, and aesthetics to choose the right window for you.

Yes, egress windows can significantly add value to a home. By making basement and attic areas safer and more livable, they allow you to market these spaces as finished living areas, which increases your property's value. Many homeowners can recover the full installation cost, with some sources citing a return on investment of around 70%. The exact value added depends on your specific home, location, and adherence to local building codes. Beyond financial value, egress windows enhance functionality by adding natural light and comfort. They are also a crucial safety feature, often mandated by building codes to serve as an emergency exit.

Yes, you can install a bay window in an existing house. You’ll need to have a structural engineer draw up plans to add the necessary support to your exterior load-bearing walls and a general contractor to make the changes to the framing around the new wall opening. This will cost an average of $3,000. After that work is done, a window installer can set the new bay window in place.

The proper way to install a window well is to measure the window, dig a hole deeper and wider than the window, place a drainage tube and cap, anchor the well to the foundation, caulk the seam, and backfill the hole. The job requires tools such as a hammer drill and auger and some heavy digging. Proper placement and window well installation are critical to preventing water from leaking into the window.

Because egress windows are meant for emergency exiting and entering, they need to be an accessible size. The smallest an egress window is allowed to be is 15 inches in width and height, with an opening of around 4 square feet.
