"To our relief, after the fireplace was inspected, all it needed was to be caulked and that took care of the draft. We thought that the gas logs needed replacing, but were told that they were fine. A good thing we had the dryer vent done - it was very full of lint."

"We found that an old antenna fell that was attached to the roof of our 2 story home. We called Archer chimney, they came out the same day, investigated the damage, and provided a quote. The following day, Joel and and Mike returned and repaired the roof. They were very professional and courteous. Pictures were provided before and after the job. We highly recommend this company and will be using them for additional projects in the future. Great job JOEL AND MIKE."

"Laszlo did a fabulous job. We “supposedly” had the dryer vent cleaned back in November. They obviously did a terrible job. Our clothes were not drying. Laszlo cleaned the vent and many years worth of build up was removed."

"Yahav was the service technician that Clean Air Atlanta sent and he not only did a really great job on the work: he also saved us over $1000 by being HONEST about work our fireplace did not need, that another company had said we needed. I highly recommend this company!"

Fireplaces FAQs, answered by experts

Schedule your fireplace service between August and October to avoid the busy winter season and fall pollen. You must also consider local wildlife, as uncapped chimneys frequently attract nesting birds and squirrels. Check your Mcdonough homeowners association rules for any restrictions on exterior chimney modifications, and verify permit requirements with local authorities before starting any structural repairs or liner installations.

Helpful?

For gas log service in Mcdonough, choose materials rated specifically for your exact fuel type, whether natural gas or propane. Because of the humid subtropical climate, select moisture-resistant firebox liners and refractory panels to prevent rapid degradation. Vented log sets are an excellent choice, as they handle intermittent seasonal use perfectly without causing moisture-related deterioration inside your firebox. Always ensure your components meet adopted safety standards.

Helpful?

Completing fireplace service ensures your home stays warm during Mcdonough ice storms and winter cold snaps. High local humidity accelerates creosote buildup and moisture damage, which causes smoke to backdraft into your living space. A well-maintained chimney operates efficiently and safely, providing a reliable emergency heat source and reducing your reliance on your HVAC system during fall and spring temperature swings.

Helpful?

A major mistake during gas log service in GA is skipping required permits for gas line alterations. Homeowners also err by attempting DIY modifications near the utility meter, which poses severe safety hazards. Another frequent error is ignoring seasonal chimney conditions. Spring pollen and high summer humidity create blockages and moisture damage. Always hire a licensed professional to verify your existing chimney structure and handle the installation safely.

Helpful?

Before starting gas log service in Mcdonough, schedule a thorough chimney inspection to check for structural shifts or moisture damage. You must secure the necessary mechanical permits and verify your contractor holds a valid state license. Contact your local utility provider to coordinate any supply line upgrades. Finally, check your HOA rules for exterior venting restrictions and schedule the work in late summer to avoid peak-season contractor delays.
