I work by the job or by the day, just to let you know upfront I am $200 - $250 a day depending on job and location of the job. So with that you can get multiple things done and take the day off While I do them. A few services that I do.. BUT! I can do a whole lot more than this.

My name is Kent Vanattia, I am the sole owner of Arlis Home Services. What I'll tell you here, is how I came to choose this career path. I was born in Hillsboro, TN. My family owned a dairy farm. Grandpa had his own cattle but he and my Uncle also ran a "milk route". They picked up milk from other farms all over middle TN. We delivered it to a processing center along with our own milk. I learned to take care of the equipment on this farm not long after I could walk. Along the milk route, it soon became obvious to me, even as a young boy that proper maintenance sure saved a lot of time and trouble. That lesson served me well throughout my life. As a very young man, I joined the service. I found it easy to fall into a structured routine, I grew up that way. Later as I learned various trades my attention to detail and regimented style of learning and doing made it easy for me to retain and reuse my new found knowledge. And today, as I comb over a cabin for signs of potential problems or I am building a deck or other project ... I find it's the lessons of my youth that keep me on track. I named my business Arlis, because it was my dad's name. He's not with me anymore and I miss him. My Dad never did anything half-way. So naming my business after him reminds me of the lessons he taught.

Here at Fisher Barns, we offer portable storage buildings, playsets, carports, horse barns, lawn furniture, and more! We stock most of our quality barns and playsets at our manufacturing facility on Hwy. 28 Bypass in Abbeville, SC, as well as our retail location on Hwy. 72 East in Greenwood, SC. This means great selection and fast delivery for our local customers. We hope you will stop in and visit us! We also offer a convenient rent to own program for all of our storage barns, with no credit checks! So if you're short on cash and need a great storage option now, we can help! Fisher Barns was founded in 2003 by Matt and Marvin Fisher, brothers who were working in concrete finishing for a number of years before deciding to try their hands in the shed business. Between them they have experience in the construction of homes, pole barns, storage sheds, as well as the benefit of family already in the shed business, giving them experience to draw from. The two brothers soon found it necessary to find full time help, and in 2007 the third brother, Gene, joined them. Gene has taken over the play-set division of Fisher Barns, as well as helping with the sheds. Our goal at Fisher Barns is first to glorify God, the Giver of all good things. He's the One that makes it all possible. Secondly, we strive for customer satisfaction, believing it to be the utmost importance that you, as our customer, are delighted with the service and product you receive. Without you, we would not be in business. Stop in, or give us a call. We'd love to help you with your storage needs.

Playground Equipment questions, answered by experts

Wood, metal, and plastic are common materials. Choose based on durability, aesthetics, and maintenance needs.

Generally speaking, building a swing set is cheaper than buying a prefabricated one, but this assumes you have all the tools and knowledge to complete the project. The average cost to build a swing set is $514, but you should also factor in the time and effort it will require—if you don’t want to give up your weekend, it’s worth considering buying instead of building.

In most cases, yes, an outdoor living space adds value to your home. The trick to your best return on investment is to choose high-quality building materials that will look nice and durable without crossing the line into total luxury that becomes cost-ineffective. For example, there’s no need to install marble tiles around your pool, but a durable and aesthetically pleasing deck will go a long way.

Playground installation costs around $500 on average, which doesn’t include the cost of the playground itself. Most homeowners spend between $150 and $1,200 on the labor to install a playground, plus between $100 and $1,500 on the playground equipment. The cost of professional installation depends on a few different factors:

  • Type and size of the playground

  • Whether or not you need land leveling before installation

  • Accessibility of your yard

  • Whether you buy a premade playground or a custom one

  • Local permitting costs, if necessary

If your seedlings have reached a few inches in height and the weather outside has stabilized to where you’re no longer seeing overnight temperatures below 40 degrees Fahrenheit, it may be time to start hardening them off to get them ready to be planted in the garden.
