Here at Fisher Barns, we offer portable storage buildings, playsets, carports, horse barns, lawn furniture, and more! We stock most of our quality barns and playsets at our manufacturing facility on Hwy. 28 Bypass in Abbeville, SC, as well as our retail location on Hwy. 72 East in Greenwood, SC. This means great selection and fast delivery for our local customers. We hope you will stop in and visit us! Fisher Barns was founded in 2003 by Matt and Marvin Fisher, brothers who were working in concrete finishing for a number of years before deciding to try their hands in the shed business. Between them they have experience in the construction of homes, pole barns, storage sheds, as well as the benefit of family already in the shed business, giving them experience to draw from. The two brothers soon found it necessary to find full time help, and in 2007 the third brother, Gene, joined them. Gene has taken over the play-set division of Fisher Barns, as well as helping with the sheds. Our goal at Fisher Barns is first to glorify God, the Giver of all good things. He's the One that makes it all possible. Secondly, we strive for customer satisfaction, believing it to be the utmost importance that you, as our customer, are delighted with the service and product you receive. We are a professional full service/self service junk removal company. We haul almost anything such as: Household junk, Yard Debris, Construction Debris. We promise flat, upfront rates and prompt, on-time service. All estimates are Free!

"I called Junk in the Box on Friday, November 6 and was pleased to be able to make an appointment for today, Saturday, November 7. They were prompt and called a few times to notify of/confirm the estimated arrival time. Johnathan, one of the workers, reviewed the items and gave an estimate of cost. After I agreed, he and the other young man (sorry, I did not get his name) proceeded to carefully remove the items at warp speed. They worked fast and were very professional as well as personable. The company provides great customer service received from Lisa who took the call, and the service workers. The items removed included several printers, a shredder, old sewing machine, 32-inch monitors, a compressor, heater, and more. I am very pleased with their service and plan to use them again."

Material markup costs and labor expenses are the additional primary costs of hiring a playground installer over building your own set. Labor costs are typically less costly than some more specialized home improvement projects. DIY swing set construction is less expensive than professional installation but will take considerably more time and effort to perform.

It’s usually possible to install a playground yourself, but we don’t recommend it. Playground construction can be complicated and involves moving large, heavy, and bulky components into place while you affix them to other pieces. Not only is the work physically demanding, but any mistakes could reduce the lifespan of your playground and potentially put any children who use the equipment at risk of injury. It’s relatively inexpensive to hire a professional playground installer, and it’s usually worth the investment, if only for the peace of mind it provides.

It may be tempting to DIY the construction of a swing set to save money, but we don’t recommend it. Since children will use the swing set, the entire system must be solid and safe, meaning the cost savings aren’t worth potentially endangering them. Plus, most DIYers will have to build their swing sets out of wood, which won’t last as long as metal or vinyl and introduces the risk of splinters. Instead, hire a local playground equipment installer to ensure the swing set is built safely and efficiently, setting up your kids for fun for years to come.

For artificial turf that’s the most durable, look for heat-resistant products with thicker blades. Keep in mind that there’s a difference between artificial grass versus artificial turf, with turf consisting of a shorter look while artificial grass is longer and more closely resembles real grass.
