"I had used a product to put a shine on my pre-engineered floors that caused a build-up,, The company stripped all off the wax off and my floors and they look brand new. The crew of John an Reggie did a great job."

"Had carpet repair done at entry to two bathrooms where carpet had worn. Total repair time took about 20 minutes. The work performed was good, but the operator would not provide a quote until on site and once on site, the quote was very expensive. My appointment had already been pushed back twice and I had driven out of town for the service, so ended up having to pay the premium or start the process over with another provider."

"I found this company on Angie's list and can't begin to mention how amazing, fast, and clean their service was. I was really impressed with their professionalism when setting up the services. It was so wonderful to see everything spotless and clean with everything done that was outlined in the contract. Will definitely book them regularly!!!"

"I chose Expressive Flooring to replace my old carpet and pad in the great room, hall, and three bedrooms.  Their sailes person was very easy to deal with and helpfull with the type/style of carpet I wanted.  Their origional estimate was very reasonable and they provided the service on Saturday (I needed that so I would be present).  Their crew arrived on Saturday morning and went to work immediately.  They moved the big furnature and did the extra little things that you normally forget to do.  Their work was professional and they double checked their work as they moved from room to room.  I could not be happier with the job and will use them again should the opportunity arise in addition to recommending them to my friends.

"The service went great, I had a tenant here that had a dog, and the dog paws scratched up the floors, and they were able to polished the floors well, and their is no sign of scratches anymore. They are professional and on time, the cost matched the quote that they gave."

Floor Polishers questions, answered by experts

Yes, but with caution. A floor grinder is intended to level and polish concrete, so it is a very powerful tool. To remove paint, the floor grinder should be set to 35 square feet per minute or less to minimize the pressure without the use of pocket weights. You might need to go over the surface two times to get any paint that has sunk into the concrete’s pores.

Most DIY floor cleaners don’t require rinsing, but you’ll want to make sure you don’t add too much dish soap or oil to the cleaner to avoid having to rinse it after cleaning. For non-wood floors, mix 8 parts warm water, 1 part vinegar, and 1 part baking soda with a few drops of dish soap. For wood floors, use olive oil in that same mixture instead of the vinegar. You can let these solutions air-dry after cleaning your floors with them, although you should manually dry your floors if they aren’t waterproof.

The answer to this question depends on how large the room is and how much experience you have stripping and waxing floors. It will take at least 24 hours to strip the floors, then you must allow time for drying, waxing, waiting for them to cure, and, finally, buffing them. Since you likely will not be working for the full 24 hours, it is safe to say that this is a two- or three-day job.

The best solution for mopping floors depends on the type of floor you have, but a good all-around or multi-purpose DIY floor cleaner is 2 cups of warm water, 5 to 10 drops of liquid dish soap, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. This is safe to use on tile, laminate, wood, polished concrete, vinyl, and more, as it’s relatively neutral and lacks caustic and abrasive chemicals that could be harmful to children and pets. You can also use a multi-purpose commercial cleaner, but make sure to follow the directions for safety.

To properly maintain and care for hardwood floors without damaging the finish, establish a regular cleaning routine. Sweep with a broom or microfiber dust mop daily, or vacuum weekly, to remove dirt and debris that can scratch the surface; be sure to clean in tight corners and under furniture. For a deeper clean, use a damp mop with a cleaner specifically designed for hardwood floors, but avoid using harsh chemicals or excessive water, as this can damage the wood. You can further protect your floors by placing mats at entryways to catch dirt and moisture and putting felt pads under furniture legs to prevent scratches. For long-term care, refinish the floors as needed to keep them looking their best.
