"The quality of the work was mediocre. I have since used another company on Angie's List and received much better quality with that cleaning. One of our towel racks was missing the loop at the towel hangs on after the cleaning and when I reported it to the office they simply stated the woman who performed the cleaning had "not messed with" any of our towel racks. She actually cleaned all of them so I thought it was an odd response and not the level of customer service I expect."

"We highly recommend Jessie for your home improvement project. He transformed our laundry room into a beautiful full bath in 6 working days. the team was very reliable; they worked from 8-4+ everyday and focused on just our project compared to others we have worked with who juggle several projects and you never know when they will be there and what they will get done. The team was hard working and respectful of us and our home."

"It went as well as I could have hoped. I found a photo of the garage I liked on his FB page...we wanted something that would match our house built in 1940, and the photo I found on his page couldn't have been more perfect. Dustin showed up on a Saturday with his crew and built the entire thing from scratch in a day and a half. Cleaned up after themselves when they were finished. Overall, he did an amazing job and as a result I am the envy of my neighborhood. Would highly recommend.

"Loay Jabbar provided the information I needed quickly and clearly. I immediately signed up for full coverages for our two homes because of the discounts offered and because of the quality of service that Loay is saying and promising Choice Home Warranty provides to its customers. I have bad experiences with other home warranty companies so I am hoping I found the best company that would deliver the best service."

"The employees were very respectful and were very good at keeping our home protected from Constrution dust and debris. Richard was very knowledgeable when ask questions about how the schedule would work and explained to my wife each and every step that it would take with such an undertaking of this project. He was able to work with her and help with all the selections of cabinet designs as well as picking counter tops and plumbing fixtures. All the subs he brought in were very professional and all phases of our project was done in a timely manor. With times we live in now nobody really wants strangers in their homes. But Starr Services abided by all the restrictions we have and we’re in and out in the time frame we were given. I would recommend anyone interested in a remodel project to give them a call. Thanks mike suggs"

Barndominium Builders questions, answered by experts

The lifespan of a barn is typically 40 to 60 years, but with skillful construction and proper maintenance, it can last up to 100 years. The actual lifespan depends on several factors, including the barn type, materials, usage, and climate. For example, the posts of a pole barn should last 50 years or longer, but if the structure is used for livestock in a rainy climate, it may rot within the first decade. Custom designs with high-end materials tend to last the longest. To get the best estimate for your barn's lifespan, you should consider its material type and intended use.

Generally speaking, building a swing set is cheaper than buying a prefabricated one, but this assumes you have all the tools and knowledge to complete the project. The average cost to build a swing set is $514, but you should also factor in the time and effort it will require—if you don’t want to give up your weekend, it’s worth considering buying instead of building.

Any type of construction that damages a tree’s roots via soil compaction can be dangerous, and is one of the primary causes of mature tree death in residential areas. Simply putting lots of weight on the ground around the tree, like construction supplies, trailers, and equipment, can kill roots near the surface. Of course, installing new foundations, patios, or utility lines can cut through nearby tree roots. Accidentally striking a tree with equipment or supplies is rarely a problem, but can cause damage of its own, too.

The timeline to build your barn will depend on the barn type and the company you hire. A pole barn may take six weeks or so, while a traditionally framed or steel-framed barn can take four months or longer. Building a barndominium takes the longest because you are essentially building a new home. You can expect barndominiums to take six months or longer to build.

Common pitfalls include underestimating the cost of site preparation, overlooking permit and utility fees, and not setting aside funds for unexpected changes. Change orders during construction can disrupt your budget. It’s best to plan a detailed budget, obtain multiple quotes, and include a 10% to 15% contingency fund for unexpected expenses.
