The entire process of getting a quote, ordering, scheduling and installing went smoothly and we are thoroughly delighted with the end result! We wanted insulated doors with thermo-paned windows. There was a big difference in price between the brand of doors with single-pane and brand with double-pane windows. Michele took it upon herself to contact the manufacturer's sales rep for the "overpriced" doors and they agreed to match the competitor's price! "Removing old wallpaper revealed mold on the dinning room and adjoining kitchen wall. Contacted Abatement Contractors (ACU) and left a message to contact me. Within 20 minutes got a call from Terri Cowart, owner of ACU, and scheduled an appointment for the very next day. Terri inspected the wall and there was no question the mold had to be removed. A previous test by another entity determined the mold was of a particularly toxic variety, but not active. I also had an air quality test done by a third party and it showed the air inside the home was okay. The inactivity of the mold and it being covered by wallpaper would likely explain why there was no moldy smell that would have put me on notice of a problem. In addition, I had begun to remove old kitchen tiles and dinning room flooring and Terri suggested an asbestos test on the flooring. Because the house was built in 1959, it was likely that asbestos was present. Terri took a tile sample and had it tested and confirmed the presence of asbestos. The test was $50.00 and paid at time of her inspection. Terri prepared a proposal to remediate the mold and remove the asbestos. After responding to my questions and providing clarification on a few points, I signed the proposal and the work was scheduled for the following week. The crew of four arrived on time and promptly set to work covering the work area in plastic and air cleaning equipment and began removing the moldy sheetrock and floor tiles. Tia, the crew chief, saw to it that all the work was done in accordance with the proposal and answered all my questions and concerns. It took a good 8 hours to set up, commence the remediation, and remove and secure the sheetrock and flooring. The inside wall and studs were then painted with a mold resistant coating. However, the kitchen tiles could not be removed without taking out the subflooring and expose the floor joists and crawlspace below the kitchen. I had not prepared for this, but Terri allowed me time to find someone to put in a subfloor after removal of the old flooring. So the following week, Tia and two crew members again set up and began removing the kitchen floor which took about three hours."

"The workers were an hour late but called to let me know. When they got here, they got right to work and completed the work within an hour and a half. They were professional, courteous, and left my house looking like they had never been here. Eric K came out to estimate the job and fully explained the work they would perform. All in all, I would definitely recommend Aladdin for blown in insulation."

"We were pleased at first with the techician and treatment. Unfortunately when it came to scheduling the following visits they did not go well. The second time the technician was very late (which we understand happens) and the treatment was not applied throughtout but like he was in a hurry. The next time they never showed up. My husband called and they said they would send someone out the next week (the earliest they could get someone out). This was also a no-show. My husband again called and asked for a refund of monies paid as he had taken off work twice to be there. The company could never explain why they had not shown up twice nor did they offer any refund. We were happy with the effectiveness of the treatment but the poor customer service has lost our business."
