"Rep. checked entire system. He found several wires not connected properly and fixed this. He also made recommendations regarding the attachment of the panels to the rood that would provide more stability and leakproofing. The representative appeared to know what he was doing - much better than others, including the representative who was engaged by the roofer (who replaced our rood due to hail damage) to disconnect/connect the panels."

Damian Y., CPI®\nWith over 10 years in construction, doing everything from the initial underground plumbing and electrical to finishing out a house with final trim work installing fixtures and quality checking. I have done it all. There is no better feeling than building something that you know is going to bring a family years of safety and happiness as they grow. Regrettably, I had to leave the construction field for something a little less taxing on my body due to a brief battle with cancer.\n\nNow, thanks to the support of my family, friends, and my local community who all came together to support me during my fight, I am now almost a year cancer free and ready to get back out and continue to support my family while help other families feel safe and protected in purchasing their home.

Energy Efficiency Auditing questions, answered by experts

There are several signs that your house might have poor ventilation, including lingering odors, condensation on your windows, or mold and mildew. Your home may also feel stale and stuffy, or you might have trouble maintaining a comfortable temperature in your home. On top of that, you might develop allergy symptoms, such as sneezing, coughing, or headaches.

After you receive your audit and report, review the findings and determine which of the prescribed changes you want to make to improve your home’s energy efficiency. Start by contacting the type of professionals recommended by the auditor who can help you remedy the issues discovered during the audit. Prioritize the projects by urgency, importance, and budget. Then, gather estimates from several professionals, remembering to verify any necessary licensing and experience information.

Leaving lights on raises the electric bill, but not as much as having high-wattage light bulbs. The best way to save on electric costs is to swap your light bulbs to LED or CFL bulbs that use far fewer watts. You can also use smart lights and light switches to control usage via a smartphone or voice-controlled device.

The answer is a resounding yes, as dishwashers save significant water and energy compared to washing dishes by hand. The difference is so drastic in fact that those who use energy-efficient dishwashers can expect savings of over $450 per year. This is because dishwashers use less water, they wash at a higher temperature than a hand rinse, and you don’t need to rinse them after washing. New dishwashers use around 4 gallons per load, whereas washing by hand can use up to 2 gallons per minute.

If your AC runs constantly, it could be due to a number of things, including a faulty thermostat, incorrect temperature settings, or broken equipment. Alternatively, you might have an airflow problem (for example, blocked vents or leaky ductwork). Either way, an HVAC pro can identify the specific problem and fix it for you.
