"Had several plumbers come out and just â repairâ a pipe, but it kept bursting. Mr. Porter and Mr. Lott come out, dug it up and completed replaced it, and I havenâ t had and issue since! The job was completed in a timely manner and they were professional throughout the job, super reliable and dependable. I will definitely be calling them for all my plumbing issues from now on."

"What an Amazing Company!! I had a Major Plumbing Issue after my son knocked the top off the toilet and busted the pipe that connects the water in to the wall. I got on Angie List and found Free Emergency Plumber.Com and within a half hour they were at my house. Not only did they fix the leak and the pipe for FREE, but the technician was also able to assist me in getting my house dried out (slightly flooded three or four rooms)! The guys at Free Emergency Plumber.Com even helped when dealing with my insurance company. Start to finish they handled just about everything for me, all I had to do was sit back and let them work. Amazing company, Amazing people, I highly recommend Free Emergency Plumber.Com."

"Jeff (the owner) came by to assess a crack I had seen in my foundation. He told me that it wasn't actually a crack in the foundation but a crack in some superficial cement that was smeared over the actual foundation and is just a cosmetic problem that doesn't need to be dealt with. He gave me some advice and recommendations for some gutter work and didn't charge me a dime.
I really do appreciate the honesty because I really hate getting a sales pitch. I'd recommend this company to anyone who is looking for someone to give an honest assessment and I trust them to do honest work if I ever need it in the future

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Start your initial plumbing assessment by identifying your pipe materials, as older Georgia homes feature deteriorating galvanized steel or cast iron lines. Inspect your water heater for sediment buildup caused by mineral-heavy groundwater. Schedule a sewer scope inspection to check for tree root intrusion. Finally, assess outdoor hose bibs for leaks and insulate exposed pipes before the winter freeze.

Helpful?

Always verify that your contractor holds an active GA state license and carries general liability insurance. Local professionals must understand how to handle the galvanized pipes and cast iron drains found in older homes. Require the contractor to pull all necessary permits for the plumbing work. For properties outside the city limits, hire a specialist experienced with private septic systems.

Helpful?

Upgrading your plumbing provides immediate relief from low water pressure and prevents water waste during local droughts. In the long term, addressing mineral buildup from Fitzgerald groundwater extends the lifespan of your fixtures. Winterizing your pipes protects against freezing temperatures, while replacing older drain lines prevents severe root intrusion and boosts the value of your property.

Helpful?

A passed final inspection is the clearest indicator of correctly completed plumbing work in Fitzgerald. Your water pressure and clarity must remain consistent, as sudden discoloration indicates improper flushing. Drains must flow smoothly without any gurgling sounds. A reliable professional will also provide a written scope of work, permit documentation, and a labor warranty to guarantee the final results.

Helpful?

Treat active leaks, sewer backups, and sudden water discoloration as immediate emergencies. The high humidity in Fitzgerald accelerates mold growth rapidly from any standing water. You can schedule non-urgent plumbing tasks, like proactive water heater replacements or routine sewer scoping, for the late fall or early spring. Local contractors have more availability during these milder seasons to complete your upgrades.
