"I had a terrible experience with a plumber that I had hired. My plumbing was the old iron stuff. And the plumber told me he fixed it and my problem. Turns out I paid for it and the job was not even done. Emery came, saw the problem and did not hesitate in anyway to fix it for me. It was a complete mess under my house and he had no problem finding the problem and fixing it. I would highly recommend him for any job that you need done. He's smart and has integrity. You can't ask for more than that . I am so very very pleased with the job that he did in the man that he is."

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

The life expectancy of a gunite pool is about 100 years or more with proper care. Clean your pool at least once a week and plan to resurface it every five to seven years. For winter, close down the gunite pool but don’t drain it. And you can increase your gunite pool’s longevity by repairing any damage and addressing any issues as soon as you notice them.

If a pool turns green after adding salt, there’s a good chance the salt is the problem. Certain brands of salt have high levels of iron that cause pool water to take on a green hue. Test your pool water to determine if this is the issue. The green color will usually filter out. Brush the sides of the pool to knock the iron off.

This is just one reason a pool can turn green that is specific to adding salt. Many other reasons a pool can turn green include algae growth, low chlorine levels, a faulty filter, etc.

Draining a pool with a garden hose can take between eight and 14 hours depending on the depth of your pool and whether you use a sump pump. Be sure to stay close to the pool during this time to ensure the structure of your pool remains unharmed and that the water drains properly.

Filter balls don’t work as well as sand filters because they’re unable to handle large debris, are prone to clogging, and require frequent cleaning. While they can seem more convenient and less expensive than sand filters, most need to be removed and washed regularly, or they won’t filter well and struggle with algae and dirt. Speak with your pool maintenance pro about the best filtration option for your pool.

The best time to buy a lap pool is during the fall. While you might not be able to enjoy it for long, you’ll be happy with the money you save. Since fall and winter are the slow seasons for pool companies, they may offer specials or discounts. Talk to a pool installation company in your area to see what deals they have available.
