"They positioned themselves as a very professional company - and being new to the area, after four bids I went with them. Long story - but let it be known they are not professional and do not stand behind their work. I know a lot of people are happy with them, so I was one of the unlucky ones. There were multiple issues and followed their orders to get independent inspections. After four were done, they were not accepted and wanted a special certified inspector. Pictures I have show gaps in caulking, wood that is not pieced together properly, loose siding boards, paid for two coats of paint and in a number of areas there was hardly any paint at all. There is so much more wrong with the job they did - but as they wrote me -'you paid your invoice so you must have been happy with the job we did'. Shows no concern for wanting to do things right and fix what may go wrong. Agree with one of the reviews below - their Forman was terrible and the crew they assigned to the job was equally as bad. Have many pictures to show what I am saying."

"It is stated they have been in business since 1980. On BBB website it says they started the business in August 2019. This is evidently when the name was changed from Hicks Roofing to Hicks Residential Roofing. After signing a large contract with Hicks Roofing in December 2018, and paying more than a 50% advance, very little work had been done by August 2019. Received a threat of a lien from a subcontractor in October 2019 due to Hicks not paying the subcontractor. Asked Hicks Roofing for something to show me what work they had done and paid for. Got a call next day from the owner and Mr. Connell. Was told they were going bankrupt, office has been closed, and all records had been removed. We paid the $13,600 before lien was filed, I cannot find any record of bankruptcy by Hicks Roofing, just a name change adding the word “Residential”. I was told they were going bankrupt AFTER the name had already been changed according to info on the BBB site. Pretty Slick. Just Saying"
