After a few hours of diagnosis, he determined the underlying issue was our Denon receiver. He worked with Denon on the phone and found out we needed to replace the 3 year old unit. Fortunately, it was under warranty. He came back out to complete our theater room setup once we got the replacement receiver. I will either have to buy a new console with a back to put under the tv so wires do not show, or have someone else come out and actually hide all the wires as I expected."
