"Tim was hired to do the following: fix a small portion of soffit and fascia on front porch. (done but not professionally), fix ceiling in small bathroom which turned out to be due to rain leak (not completed), fix dripping faucet in master bathtub (still have a drip, although not as much)and fix roof where leak occurred above bathroom and replace cracked? boots surrounding vent stacks that he said needed replaced. He charged me an additional $650 for the roof work, told me that would include roofing materials, etc. When I had someone I know went up on the roof there was no evidence that shingles were replaced and the boots were improperly affixed. It turns out that he lied about cost of unpurchased material and when he was going to complete the job."

Ccs flooring tech LLC is the best thing happened to the flooring industry. It consist of 3 individuals working for the same company that had a dream of owning their own company. Each of us having over 20 years of experience in carpets, tiles, and wood floors. We also do all kinds of design. Well we come in we look to make your house look a hundred percent better than what it was before we started.

"Three flooring tech's arrived on scheduled date and time. They were very polite and professional, the gentlemen worked continuously approximately eight to ten hours and finished in two and half days. They first removed all of the old carpets on second floor including the stairs, then proceeded to laying padding prior to installing vinyl flooring. They also installed ceramic tile in the bathroom too. They worked from Wednesday to Friday and the results were excellent. I would definitely hire this company and flooring tech's again."

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

To prevent your dining room carpet from slipping, consider using rug pads or grippers underneath to provide traction and stability. Additionally, ensure the carpet is properly sized and secured to the floor to minimize movement. Regularly check and readjust the rug to maintain its position and safety under your dining room table.

Carpets in earthy, neutral shades should go with everything. Specifically, colors like beige, cream, and gray pair well with other neutrals and more vibrant colors. If you’re concerned about your carpet clashing with your walls or furniture, stay away from loud colors and complicated patterns, which could distract from the rest of your decor.

A transition piece between carpet stairs and wood flooring isn't always necessary. A transition piece separates two types of flooring in between rooms and areas, like carpet and vinyl. Because the carpet on the stairs tucks into the seam, you can’t see the fringes, and there is no need to hide anything. However, you can use a stair cap if your stairs have a nose.

Carpet installation costs include carpet type (material, weave), room size, subfloor preparation, and labor costs. Getting multiple quotes provides a clearer picture of expected expenses.

No, thick carpet padding isn’t necessarily better than thinner padding. The appropriate padding thickness will depend on the type of carpet and the amount of foot traffic in the area.

For example, thick padding works well in low-traffic areas, like bedrooms, where you have soft and plush carpeting. However, thick carpet padding can damage low-pile carpet, which is used in the busiest parts of your home (like hallways and entryways). For that reason, it’s best to use thinner, heavier padding underneath carpet in high-traffic areas.
