"A long time ago."

"Last year Poolside Designs were forced to come out to our home and replace the LED pool lights which were still under warranty. After some lengthy back and forth they agreed to do so. However, after about 7 months, those supposedly new lights failed to turn on ever again. Once again I contacted Pool Side Design and their representative, Derek Dixon, about replacing these lights. Derek came out and confirmed the lights were broken and needed to be replaced despite seeing no reason why they might have stopped working. There was some confusion as to whether or not this could be another warranty fix or not, but rather than hassle them again over this issue, I simply asked if they could give a quote to replace the lights. I have two deaf and sight-impaired dogs that rely on the pool being lit, so it was important this issue got fixed quickly, regardless of price. On 9/30 Derek said he would have me a quote the following week. I never heard from him. Requests for callbacks went unanswered On 11/2 Derek finally replied to an e-mail and said quote, I will get a quote to you. Trying to get a deal throuh our rep. I will call him again now. (spelling error his). The quote never came. On 12/1 after asking again, Derek wrote quote, Sorry Stephen. I called him again Monday. I asked him to work out a cash deal on the lights. I will have a number for you in the morning. On 12/13 I asked for an update and received no reply. The following week I called and asked Derek to call me back, I was assured he would, but he did not. On 12/30 I e-mailed again and that e-mail has never been replied to. In my e-mails, I was polite and professional. I was not pushy or rude throughout the entire e-mail conversation. Please understand this company will happily come out and charge you big money to put in a pool, however, that is all they care about. They want to secure the big contract, put in the pool, then refuse to ever service it, honor their warranties, or return phone calls. I would imagine, like most pool companies, Pool Side Design is booked up for the entire year installing new pools, as such, servicing previous customers or following up as promised is not as lucrative, so they simply ignore those requests. I cannot recommend this company, their business practices are suspect. Let us be honest, Derek Dixon was e-mailing me trying to negotiate a cash deal for the lights. Who knows what kind of shenanigans or lights I would be purchasing under these shady circumstances? It seems the previous replacement lights could not be repaired under warranty, now I wonder why? We might never know."

I have hired two other pool leak company's which could not Pin point the leak, but Bryan from Strickland pool took a logical approach and identified and made repairs in less than two days, great craftsmanship, very professional. Highly recommended."

"Hard to believe anybody could get this many 5 stars, but I was thoroughly impressed with the communication and the level of detail to search out the leaks. You will never question the money you spend. He found 2 leaks, fixed them all including a potential leak. He displays great passion for his work and I would gladly recommend him to anyone with a leak in their pool."

"They sent a guy out spent most of 4 hrs looking for leaks I told him from the beginning it was in the skimmer so he takes out all my controls valve's to test line's then when done install controls valves wrong before he leaves i tell him there wrong so he turns one it work for a while i called the next day he saids he would send a tech out Ive call them no response now pool is shut down So my next move is to file against them They try to sell me a new skimmer fir 2500 i would not use them ever I'm putting this on here so maybe it will help the next person from getting rip off There are plenty of reliable co All i can say is run they are a rip off John fratt"
