"Phenomenal landscaping and great service, I have no complaints at all. They were the most friendly, amicable, and hospitable business I have ever worked with. I greatly recommend this business to anyone who wants work done, on a real note, the kindest most hard working crew I have met with great results."

"Very competent service. Steven provided us with a contract spelling out exactly the work we requested. His team showed up on time and completed the work ahead of time. The work involved removing a section of the front lawn, and grass side strips, and replacing them with pebbles to reduce water usage. Steven's team went the extra mile by incorporating some of the better sod they'd removed into the remaining lawn in order to improve its look and quality. Their clean-up afterwards was exemplary. Highly recommended!"

"Jose and Luis arrived near when they said they would, did a pretty good job (not great with removing dead wood and did not cut all branches close to the branch they were cutting it from.....not good for the health of the tree.... and I was worried all the time that Luis would fall out of the tree. He did not :~) The price was very fair, so I am not complaining. Clean up was excellent. I've asked them to do more work and recommended them."

"These folks were on time, had the proper equipment (bucket truck), trimmed the trees as I requested, and unlike nearly every other service I have used over the past 11 years, cleaned the place up like they were never there. Owner was easy to communicate with. Discussed price considerations. He called to let me know when his team was en route, and I don't know what else one could expect."

"I hired DMJ Property Services, Inc. to come to my house in Port Charlotte, FL to remove some palm fronds from a vacant piece of property next door to where I had thrown them (which is illegal) to my property in Charlotte County, FL. Kevin Maroney showed up. He was polite, professional, hard working and cleaned up after himself. The price was right and I would hire him again in a ❤️ beat to do that or anything similar in the future. Thanks so much. Leonard Pruyne"

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

The safest way to remove lead-based paint is by letting a professional take over. For most people, lead paint removal costs an average of $3,400. You should never attempt to dry sand old lead-based paint surfaces by hand. Most professionals use a paint stripper to do the job followed by wet scraping, but if you don’t want to remove lead paint, another option is to paint over it. Only consider this option if the old lead paint finish isn’t flaking or cracked.

No. Standard homeowners insurance does not cover any kind of lead remediation, focusing instead on sudden, unpreventable events like fires and theft. Many insurance companies will specifically exclude lead paint removal, since it tends to be an expensive and unavoidable project. The exception is if the lead surface is damaged during a covered event (like a flood) and homeowners insurance pays its replacement.

You do not have to remove lead paint if the surface is not chipping or peeling or if there are no pregnant people or children under the age of six who live in or regularly visit your home. Lead paint is a particular risk for young children whose brains and bodies are not fully developed. Experts strongly recommend that you call a pro to remove lead paint if it’s peeling or flaking, no matter who lives in the home. You can experience lead poisoning by breathing in or ingesting just a small amount of it.

Lead exposure poses significant health risks, including neurological, developmental, and behavioral disorders, especially critical in young children and fetuses.

Lead toxicity comes from inhaling lead or consuming it. Before the 1980s, when the government banned lead from consumer use, it could be found in paint, plumbing, pipes, ceramics, and even gasoline. Lead paint is toxic for the same reason lead itself is toxic, which is why lead poisoning from paint presents the same as lead poisoning from water or food sources, with a slight increase in respiratory symptoms vs. digestive symptoms. Lead paint is most dangerous when it’s old and peeling, cracking, or otherwise disturbed. This increases the concentration in the air and, therefore, in breathable air.
