"We agreed to do some mold testing and a "Free" visual inspection on 8/17/24. The husband was present with me the whole time of inspection and testing. He informed me that the solar panel installers damaged the roof and that there would be a suit over it. He wanted to tie the solar installers to the mold in his home. I explained to him that i did not want to get involved in a suit and that im not an engineer, roofer or solar expert and it would be prudent for the solar company to come out and inspect the roof and crawl space for damages that they may have caused. After i did a visual inspection of the living quarters, i collected AOC samples in the upstairs closet and a Tape test of the closet ceiling. I received the report from the lab, four days later on 8/21/24 and provided it to the customer asap via email. I also called the customer that day and went over the results and discussed the report with them. The email included a lab report, a synopsis and remediation recommendations (protocol). Furthermore, this customers "remediator" phoned us and we spoke regarding the remediation recommendations which were included in the report. At no time was i ever beligerent, inconsiderate or rude to this customer. This customer has called me four times since then and just recently on Friday, 10/25/24 with the same dialogue. Evidently he wanted me to tie in the solar installers to the mold in his home. I explained again to the husband that our testing was concluded three months ago and that i was currently busy helping hurricane flood victims with their remediation. He began to curse over the phone at me so i terminated the call. Then he texted me calling us a "joke". To be crystal clear, this hatchet job from this customer is retaliation due to the fact that we would not manipulate the report or get involved with their blame game. We have in possession the signed invoice for testing only, the actual lab report and the email sent to this customer with remediation recommendations included for all to see. This customer was also reluctant to mention her husbands verbal assualt on the phone which resulted in the termination of the call. We have worked hard to establish and maintain a great reputation throughout our community as you can see in our many great reviews. We will not stand back and allow fabricated, harmful reviews to compromise that. We will fight to preserve our reputation and our high standards. The Mold Guys"
"This customer is confused. He left this review 15 months after we took the air test for him. He states our customer service is "great" yet rates us 1.5 stars. We bent over backward for this customer. We merely collected air samples for him and sent them to the lab for FREE! We emailed him the report from the lab with a synopsis which can be seen below for FREE!. We accurately reported that although not elevated, the samples collected contained moderate levels of Penicillium/Aspergillus mold with possible allergic potential according to the lab report. on page 4. Type I (hay fever and asthma) allergies and Type III (hypersensitivity pneumonitis) allergies. *SEE EMAIL BELOW*Jun 16, 2020, at 11:34 AM According to Pro Lab, the utility room and return samples do not contain "elevated" mold, however, there are still moderate levels of Penicillium / Aspergillus and Cladosporium spores present that is concerning. These molds pose an array of health risks and should be remediated accordingly. We cannot tell how old these mold spores are however by looking at the prior water damage that was partially remediated, it is likely that the mold present was caused as a result of the prior water damage. You will find a clear breakdown of the molds present in the following link... https://www.moldbacteria.com/aspergillus/ We recommend the following remediation protocol ... - repair all water intrusion spots that we went over at your home. -clean and sanitize HVAC systems and replace filters. -microbial fogging with a medical-grade sanitizer of the home. -negative air machines (air scrubbers) to remove the present debris and dead mold spores from the air. -ozone generation to remove odor. -clearance air tests. If you have any questions please contact me at 941-416-4113 anytime. The Mold Guys."
