"I am always leery of taking the company with the lowest price but after getting the quote and spending time with Sean A Harley I'm glad I did. Sean and DPS stayed with me through each step of a 4 month fight with the HOA. Sean actually had contacts on the board which eventually reversed their decision against our patio. They did not try to raise the price or back out of the project which others would have done. Job was done timely and professionally. So far no issues or leaks. Great salesman and great company."

"David and his company, D.L.A. Landscaping Service, were great to work with. They did an excellent job correcting the landscaping mess I had in my flower and plant beds. They were on time, worked tirelessly, and the price David gave me was both affordable and well worth it. They even did extra work for no additional charge. It's nice to be able to trust the people you hire."

Small jobs welcome

"I am some what happy with the concrete patio. It will be a nice addition to our back yard. There are low spots and they didn’t allow clearance for our door to open up.But they need to be a lot more conscious about the homeowners/customer property. They left a mess in my yard with large and small pieces of concrete every where. They had an issue with the pumping of the concrete and left a disastrous concrete mess on the street in front of our home not to mention also in front of several of our neighbors homes. We had to pressure wash the street to clean it up. That was very unacceptable."

Patios questions, answered by experts

The least expensive way to enclose a porch is with screens. These protect the room by preventing insects from entering and, if you live in a warm climate, provide excellent airflow during hot summer months. Screens cost far less than any other alternative, so if you are against getting permits, spending too much, or enclosing your porch in walls or glass, screens are the best choice.

A lanai is a covered patio with open walls, while a Florida room has sides made of mesh screens or windows, with or without partial low walls. In addition, lanais often use concrete or other patio flooring, while Florida rooms may have more indoor-style flooring like tile or wood. Both allow you to enjoy the outdoors without being in the direct sun, but a lanai doesn’t offer any barrier against insects or debris.

A sunroom offers an additional indoor space to rest, dine, or host guests, all while inviting in as much sun as possible. Either built like an enclosed porch or a fully insulated home extension, a sunroom features floor-to-ceiling windows or screens that create an open, bright design while still remaining protected from the elements and bugs.

Aluminum, vinyl, and wood all offer unique benefits for durability and aesthetics.

A sunroom is worth installing on a deck, both for the value and your own enjoyment. A Florida room addition costs between $10,000 and $140,000, so it’s pretty expensive. However, a quality sunroom can offer a 50% return on investment, making your home more sellable. Plus, if it’s a space you and your family enjoy relaxing in daily for years to come, it’s worth the money, time, and effort, even without the added monetary value.
