"The tile on the downstairs of my townhouse was popping up and when you walked on it you can hear the looseness of it. I received Fabio's information from a close friend of mine. I called him at 2:15 on a Sunday and he was at my house by 3pm that day to take a look. He came, checked the floors, and give me a price for everything. I was so surprised at the cost because I was previously quoted a high number for labor that was only putting wood on top of the broken tile. The next day Fabio bought me some samples and I decided on one. The following day was a Tuesday and he started breaking the tile apart. I live alone and had to work so Fabio came at the time I asked in order for me to go to work. When I got home Tuesday the tile was all gone. The next day Wednesday he came right on time again so that I was not late for work. And by 3pm my floors were done. He does an amazing job for a reasonable price. I even felt comfortable enough having him in my home when I was not there for all day. I always wanted wood floors since I moved in seven year ago and I cannot believe I finally got them thanks to Fabio. I also can't believe that it was done in such a short amount of time! I plan on doing more work to my house in the future and will definitely use Fabio and his amazing company!"

"Excellent.  At first he ran into some problems because he found some unexpected rotted wood underneath.  And of course the job was time sensitive because I couldn't just leave the area open into my house.  But that was not a problem for Peter, because he made time to make sure the work was completed quickly.  He even rearranged his schedule to make sure he could get it done.    The project started as a simple install, but as usual there were some obstacles to overcome (such as how to you place a 500 pound piece of glass into a slot without breaking it -- it weighed far more than we expected).  There was nothing too major that he wasn't able to fix it.  Thank God.

Repair Patio questions, answered by experts

A prefab sunroom will last for between 10 and 20 years in most cases, although you could get up to 50 years out of a high-quality prefab sunroom. In addition to material quality, your prefab sunroom’s lifespan will depend on the foundation type and the climate in your area. Extreme weather and expansive soil can decrease the expected life.

With proper maintenance, the average life span of a screened-in porch is six to eight years for the screens themselves, but the foundation and structure can last for 50 to 100 years. To keep your screened-in porch in good shape, clean your porch screens regularly, patch holes, re-seal the wood as needed, and address any foundational issues right away.

A screened-in porch requires maintenance to keep the screens clean and in good shape, and you may have to do some screen repair or replacement from time to time. A screen porch isn’t an all-season porch, so the weather can get in, including wind and rain.

The cost to build a sunroom averages around $47,000, but the price can range from $5,000 to $140,000 for high-end, custom projects. On a square-foot basis, you can expect to pay between $150 and $300. The total cost is influenced by the sunroom's type, size, materials, and other factors.

Common types and their typical costs include:

  • Three-season room: $10,000–$40,000

  • Four-season room: $25,000–$80,000

  • Glass solarium: $30,000–$75,000

  • Conservatory or garden room: $5,000–$80,000

  • Atrium: $10,000–$35,000

  • Prefabricated sunroom: $5,500–$30,000

Additional cost factors include permits, site preparation, foundation type, insulation, roofing, windows, doors, electrical work, heating and cooling systems, and your geographic location.

A sunroom offers an additional indoor space to rest, dine, or host guests, all while inviting in as much sun as possible. Either built like an enclosed porch or a fully insulated home extension, a sunroom features floor-to-ceiling windows or screens that create an open, bright design while still remaining protected from the elements and bugs.
