"We hired M-Worx in March 2023 for a project that they told us would take 4-6 months. It's now August 2025 and the project is still not completed because, as we will allege, M-Worx stole over $125,000 from us and caused over $100,000 in damages to the property before abandoning the project altogether. We have hired a new contractor to complete the project; however, we are still saddled with untangling the mess. In addition, we have wracked up 10s of thousands of dollars more in housing and storage expenses and legal fees, all while continuing to pay property taxes and mortgage payments for a home that we have been deprived of and cannot use. "As an association board member, I was looking for a licensed and insured handyman, who would be available when we needed repairs for our 4 floor, 30-unit building. They needed to be responsible and experienced in a multitude of jobs. I also needed someone who would also be available for a unit owner if needed. I got calls asking what I needed to fix and what I wanted to pay but no one would come out to SEE what needed to be done. Roger Camacho of The Grove Handyman called me and came over to look over our building. He handed me copies of his certification and insurance then sent me a quote. He did his first job; replacing over 125 lightbulbs in the building, including the garage. He cleaned each fixture, fixed what needed fixing and replaced each bulb. Everyone noticed the difference! He was persistent in resolving a leaky window that flooded a unit. Not a drop through the rainy season. Roger communicates well and responds to calls. He is responsible, honest and a talented person when it comes to resolving problems. He redid my master bath, took out the old whirlpool tub, removed the old tile floor and replaced all the wallboard. From electrical to plumbing to retiling the tub area and the floor, I am in love with my new bathroom. I cannot express the trust and respect I have for his character and integrity. I will never hesitate to recommend Roger to anyone."

This price was based on VOLCA LLC's Estimate #199, dated August 1, 2024, which detailed the scope of work, including Builder's responsibility for labor and most materials (e.g., paint, drywall materials, etc., except specific tile noted)."
