Hi, My name is Carlos the owner of this company, I have been in the landscaping business for 16 years. I do everything, I pass the blower, trimmer, edger, the lawn mower, I fix sprinklers, I install sprinkler zones, I cut bushes, I cut trees, I do pressure washer, I paint, we do air conditioning, fix air conditioners, we are certified and licensed in HVAC, I currently have 3 employees because we do not have so many houses, I am looking for more house and some commercial jobs, like lakes, hotels, complexes, anything that has to do with landscaping and if you need an HVAC technician, then just let us know because we have one

Lawn Fertilization and Treatment questions, answered by experts

Water the lawn thoroughly, apply fertilizer, and overseed if necessary to promote healthy growth.

If your lawn has a higher pH than recommended for your type of grass or it looks yellow, sulfur can help. If your lawn is slow to grow and not very lush, it could also benefit from a  higher sulfur content. Sandy soil is especially vulnerable to sulfur deficiencies.

The first step is killing any current nutgrass plants, either through application of herbicides or sugar, by digging up the plants and rhizomes, or by using soil solarization. To discourage new nutgrass plants from forming, ensure proper landscape drainage and bring shade into areas of the lawn that are consistently damp.

The best time to fight crabgrass with pre-emergent herbicide is when forsythias tend to bloom. In the mid-Atlantic region, this is usually between April and May. Even if you're late to apply the herbicide, it’s effective as long as the crabgrass plant has fewer than five leaves.

If maintained correctly, natural grass should last between five and 15 years, or up to several decades, depending on your home’s climate conditions. You can extend your grass’ lifespan by treating it well, including regular mowing, weeding, watering, and preventative pest control. Consider hiring a local lawn care service to provide everything your grass needs to live a long, healthy life.
