"They are quite close to me. The man was really responsive. The quote was reasonable. I still haven't chosen an landscaper. I have some pretty specific issues with my lawn. I need someone technically more trained than he was. However, he is still in my mind as an possible choice. He is really personable. Very knowledgeable, and very responsive. It is not about the cost, but whether I can create shade on my house after the lightning strike. Ect. Ect. Its an specific need. I didn't see his work, but the estimate was responsive. He almost didn't call me back. His listing on my needs on Angie's List, he had to pay twenty dollars to get the information. I thought that was really weird. I wrote an note to Angie's List about that. I didn't join Angie's List, I did the free thing. It didn't say anything about charging the contractor. No one got back to me. I kind of wrote Angie's List off. I didn't use his services. I thought the service was reasonable. He didn't draw a picture, which I would of like. Even an sketch of what it would like. I'm not good at visualizing. He was responsive to what I needed. Which was building the landscape around my house. It was as expected as expected. I haven't used them yet."

"Excellent first contact with the company when they called me. Got scheduled for a quote visit quickly. Electrician was friendly and competent. After a quick discussion upon his arrival, I opted to just have the ceiling fans installed. No outlet or light switch work was performed. The price was higher than some of the other companies for the same work, but it was still within the range of what others in the area have paid."

"I called Jessica when my regular decorator was unable to help me redecorate my bathrooms and I was not disappointed! Jessica responds to all questions and phone calls almost immediately and I absolutely love her choices. My husband was not excited about updating our bathrooms until he saw Jessica’s mood-boards and now even he can’t wait to get started on the project. My only concern is that once the bathrooms are complete we will want to do more updating! Thank you Jessica and Dani! Would definitely recommend. I am a retired real estate agent so I have worked with many home stagers and decorators throughout my 35 year career and I think Jessica’s talents are among the best."

Lighting questions, answered by experts

It’s not illegal to fly an American flag at night without a light shining on it, but the U.S. Flag Code notes that it’s respectful to provide illumination. Installing a flagpole light is also common practice and will add more to your home’s curb appeal at night. Choosing a solar-powered or battery-powered light for your flag is an affordable way to provide illumination.

Table lamps, floor lamps, chandeliers, desk lamps, and antique or decorative light fixtures that hold sentimental or aesthetic value are commonly repaired.

Pool lights are designed to be safe by protecting swimmers from electrocution. These lights are made with waterproof fixtures and seals to prevent contact with the water.

Electrocution from pool lights is still possible, but rare. Faulty wiring or broken lighting equipment can make lights unsafe, so it’s important to replace lights as needed and have an electrician inspect and upgrade the wiring.

One possibility is that they aren’t getting enough sunlight during the day, which could be due to a lack of sunshine in your area or trees blocking the solar panel. Alternatively, if the solar panel is dirty or the batteries are dying, your solar lights might not operate at full brightness.

Yes, animals can trigger motion-sensor lights. In fact, this is a reason why some homeowners install motion-sensor lights, to catch sneaky little critters looking through the rubbish for a midnight snack. There are sensitivities to animal detection though, so you may want to look for an option that avoids animal detection as much as possible.
