"Home Sweet Home Renovations, LLC is the very best interior renovation company that we've ever had the pleasure to work with. We can give Pat and Ted nothing but an A+ on every aspect of their work. We had old flooring (some which was tile and required jack hammering) removed and new vinyl flooring installed. Their work was meticulous with not one single corner cut. They also did interior painting for us...not only did they ask that we leave everything in place (furnishings and pictures that would go back in the same place) when we returned everything was spotlessly clean, the pictures back on the walls and the furniture back in its place. These 2 are amazing crafts people as well as kind and thoughtful humans."

Epoxy Flooring FAQs, answered by experts

Acid-based concrete stain is generally considered the best option because it lasts about four times as long and penetrates the deepest into concrete to give richer, full-bodied colors. If you prefer more vibrant colors, though, many water-based concrete stains are available that could provide a solution you can't find from earth-toned acid-based solutions.

DIY is possible for small areas. Professional installation ensures proper leveling and finishing for durability.

Epoxy flooring is used in many outdoor applications. Pebble epoxy flooring, in particular, is a great choice for most areas like porches, patios, and walkways. It adds visual appeal while adding texture using natural materials. The surface, however, can be slick when wet. Consider adding a non-slip additive if the area gets heavy foot traffic or if you live in a wet climate.

Generally speaking, epoxy is the best garage floor coating. There are two main types of garage floor coating you can consider: epoxy and polyaspartic. Epoxy coating comes at a more affordable price but loses when it comes to durability and long-term use. Polyaspartic coatings cost more and don’t offer as much traction, but they withstand accidents better and don’t tend to fade. Most homeowners choose an epoxy coating.

The cost to seal concrete is around $1,500 on average, but you could spend anywhere from $1,000 to $7,000, depending on the type of sealer used and the size of the space. You may want to seal concrete that receives a large amount of foot traffic or heavy wear. While you can seal concrete yourself with materials from a home improvement store, you must ensure the surface is clean and ready to accept the sealer. Hiring a professional is often recommended to ensure good, even coverage that provides adequate protection.
