Shawn from Auger Plumbing showed up earlier than originally scheduled but checked the night before to see if it was okay if he could get here sooner than originally scheduled.  He fixed the leak in a timely manner, and then checked water flow inside to make sure everything was working well. Work was affordable and professional and came with a year warranty.

"If I could give more stars I would. Clay was prompt, efficient and personable. I called in the morning and had my water heater installed on a Saturday for the same rate other plumbers charge for weekday work. Will hire again and strongly recommend Water Heater Man of Brevard."

Affordable Plumbers questions, answered by experts

Watch for low water pressure and rusty water, which indicate failing galvanized steel pipes common in older Rockledge homes. Look for mismatched pipe materials or unpermitted previous plumbing work, especially if your home experienced hasty repairs after a FL storm. Persistent slow drains point to root intrusion in your sewer lines. Address these issues promptly by hiring a licensed contractor to protect your property.

Helpful?

The humid climate in Rockledge accelerates corrosion on exposed outdoor pipes and fittings. Heavy summer rain saturates sandy soils, causing buried lines to shift. Intense FL sun degrades outdoor plastic piping quickly, making it brittle. Additionally, storm surges from hurricanes introduce debris into sewer lines. Inspect your plumbing after major storms to catch damage early and prevent serious water issues.

Helpful?

Homes built before 1985 are prime candidates for plumbing upgrades due to aging galvanized supply lines and cast iron drains. If you notice inconsistent water pressure or heavy mineral scale on fixtures, your system struggles with the hard municipal water in Rockledge. Properties with a history of storm flooding also require immediate attention. Hire a local professional to inspect your pipes and recommend necessary improvements.

Helpful?

Start your plumbing updates by hiring a licensed professional to inspect your pipe materials for outdated galvanized steel or polybutylene. Schedule a camera inspection of your sewer lateral to check for root intrusion, which happens frequently in established Rockledge neighborhoods. Review your FL home's irrigation system to ensure it has a required rain sensor. Finally, evaluate your water heater to handle hard water.

Helpful?

Pouring grease down your drains creates severe blockages in older sewer lines. Relying on chemical drain cleaners destroys aging pipes over time. In FL, skipping regular water heater maintenance allows hard water sediment to destroy the tank. You must also avoid running irrigation systems during heavy rain, as saturated soil damages buried lines. Flush your water heater annually to keep your plumbing running smoothly.
