It was the peak of Covid and I couldnâ t get a contractor to show up for scheduled appointments. "The contracted the work off to a third party. Jon took longer than expected. The windows was installed pretty good from the looks. Communication could have been better with knowing the job will take longer and what types of trims I wanted for the windows. As the contractor that was hired for this job by this company. Did a good job with putting up decent trim. As for the new windows they look great. I purchased the myself and hired sentri homes to install them. I will need to have a my siding on my house redone to be closer to the new windows so the gaps are not so obvious. That was not expected at first. But from old storm windows and not knowing how they were put in originally. There was some unknown things that was learned from the job being completed. I will have the siding of the house slightly done to match really good for what I wanted later on. My only concern is better communication with sentri homes. Overall they were great when I did talk to them."

"Poor communication, expensive prices, unresponsive owner who only agreed to stand behind work after repeated calls reminding him that the work had a warranty for defects in material and workmanship. The only thing Morgan exteriors was quick at was cashing my check. When I was speaking to the owner (Keith Morgan) about issues we were having that were arising from poor caulking/prep work that caused the replaced wood to rot in 18 months, he yelled at me over the phone and said" What do you expect- YOU LIVE IN A SWAMP!". I guess this was a swipe at my blue collar neighborhood (which is high and dry by the way), but there's no reason why there should be mold all over the paint (in less than 18 months!) and poor caulking that led to wood rot in just 18 months. Morgan Exteriors used to have an "A" rating here on Angies list. Now it's a B-. Look for it to be a D in another year if they treat customers like they treated me. Gary in Lutz"

"Everyone at Solar Shield was very nice and professional. We had a few concerns when the moisture barrier was installed and we still had rain in our bedroom. Frank got it corrected the next day, and finished the roof the following week. The good news: very nice looking roof with no more leaks. The bad news: we got pictures of the hurricane straps installed and had the roof inspected by our insurance company. They found that the hurricane straps installed were not up to their standards and neither was the moisture barrier. They also found multiple slats (we didn’t have decking that covered the whole roof - old house) that were split and compromised during the work, so we were unable to qualify for any insurance discounts. Overall, we have a nice looking roof - top of the line from Solar Shield Industries. Hopefully, it will last a lifetime. But unfortunately, we have some decking remediation that needs to be done and we still need hurricane straps, which will probably be clips now. Not a big enough deal for me to raise a stink. I can retro clips and repair the few decking issues from the attic & under siding. And apparently, the moisture barrier is just not what the insurance company accepts as a “moisture barrier.”"
