"I did quite a bit of research before hiring. Was refered to Phipps Masonry & Stucco for a masonry project and was delightfully surprised by the estimate. A fraction of the price of other contractors. I had a bad leak and they fixed it and put new mortar in my chimney all in a day. Fast workers and easy communication. "ADN did an amazing job on the stucco band around our three windows in the front. The owner was extremely nice and punctual and offered an amazing price. However, not all stucco walls are solid stucco. Some are “faux” stucco with a foam backing. This kind of stucco veneer is more susceptible to damage, including damage from hot glue. We don’t suggest attaching anything to these kinds of stucco walls, so make sure you check the stucco type before starting this project.

Masonry screws are the best option to be used on stucco. They’re thicker and made to penetrate harder surfaces like concrete and cinder blocks. Fluted masonry screws work the best because they create a stronger grasp thanks to the lines on their shafts. If you’re working on exterior stucco, use galvanized screws to prevent corrosion.
