"Our driveway had several holes and broken concrete. I sent Craig a photo of the driveway and he was able to provide a quote right away for sawcutting the potholes and resealing the asphalt. Upon arrival, the driveway was a little more distressed than appeared in the photo and Craig requoted the work. Upon agreement, he was able to get started right away. He was very communicative throughout the process and cleaned up afterwards. We would recommend Kryptoblast for anyone that would need to repair their driveway."

"I contacted several companies for information and estimates to remove my asphalt driveway and install pavers. The job also included new pavers on my front patio. Javier was, by far, the most knowledgeable regarding some prior paver work and what was needed to complete my existing job. I was also extremely impressed with his expertise, professionalism, and honesty. Additionally, out of four to five bids, his bid was the most competitive. Knowledge + professionalism + expertise + honesty + best price = top choice for my job. Between Javier, Jeanette, Edward, and the team of workers, I found Terra Pavers to exceed all of my expectations. They were responsive, timely, courteous, and did an incredible job on my driveway and patio. I cannot give them a stronger recommendation. As a matter of fact, several of my neighbors were so impressed that three of them are now getting bids from Terra Paver for work around their homes. If you are reading this and looking to have some work completed, you must include Javier in your bid process. I'm confident that you will be just as impressed as I am."

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

While paving a driveway is possible to do as a DIY project, we don’t recommend it. Hiring a driveway professional to pave it will ensure that your driveway looks neat and clean and lasts for years to come, and it will also prevent a weak driveway and, potentially, damage to your foundation. Paving a driveway requires heavy machinery, and while you can rent the equipment needed, operating it close to your garage slab or around your home’s foundation can crack it and lead to structural issues.

Your driveway contractor will probably recommend that you avoid driving on your new millings driveway for up to a week. Keeping pressure off the freshy applied millings will help the driveway to bind together. While the sun is helpful for binding millings, hotter weather can actually make the curing process take longer.

A driveway approach is the part of a driveway where the public road meets the private driveway. This section contains several key elements, including the driveway apron, the curb cut, and the end slope. Depending on the slope of the driveway, this area may also contain the trench drain.

The driveway apron is a technical term referring to where a private driveway meets the public street. If there is a sidewalk in front of the house, the driveway apron is typically on the opposite side of the public sidewalk from the driveway itself.

Yes, a paved or repaved driveway can boost your home's value by increasing its curb appeal and the functionality of your outdoor space. A new driveway can add anywhere from $5,000 to $20,000 to a property's value. An old, crumbling driveway can be a red flag for potential buyers and inspectors.

The amount of value added depends on the materials used, the design, and local market conditions. Concrete is often cited as adding the most value due to its long lifespan, though asphalt may be more desirable in colder climates. The return on investment is greatest when replacing a driveway that is in poor condition; repaving a driveway that is already in good shape will not yield as significant an increase in value.
