"Our home was built in 2016, but not to our specifications. The builder did just the minimum R-34 insulation in the attic, causing the HVAC to run constantly most of the year and the home could not hold its temperature (set to 73 but rose as high as 80 degrees). I sent a request to TLS and (surprisingly) got a call back within minutes from the owner Seth who, despite being on the road in Texas acquiring new trucks, spent a solid 15-20 mins on the phone to understand my situation. His product type is above standard and his prices are extremely fair, so set an appointment. Two weeks later, his brother Tom arrive 10 minutes EARLY for the appointment and his crew quickly knocked out the job in less time that they estimated. Since then our home (now with R-50+ attic insulation) stays cooler, has less humidity and the HVAC isn't working as hard. Hats-off to Seth & Tom at TLS Insulation! I highly recommend this company!!"
"I am a very picky person when it comes to getting work done for my house but one thing I can say is that I don’t regret hiring Jays Prestige Insulation LLC and I am not going anywhere else very professional and got the work done!! Thank you so much"
"Not only does the roof look gorgeous it's efficient and quiet! It reduced our electric bill along with being cooler, it much quieter. We went with the insulated metal roofing system, which we would recommend, it takes a bit longer and it's more costly but worth the time and money. Frank and his team are friendly, straight forward, and easy to work with. They were efficient and clean, our neighbors even commented how much they appreciated how well they cleaned up each day to keep our road and driveway clear. We would highly recommend them for any roofing job!"
"He did a good job installing the weather striping around the doors. One door wasn't in the frame correctly and he fixed that. They sent someone by to check on his work. That guy talked to us about the air tightness of our home, which is great. He kept trying to find something wrong. It is a newer home. He mentioned we should put energy film on one window. I looked the film up online and found it at Home Depot. He told us that they had to do it because "if one speck of dust is on the film" it will compromise the integrity. One speck of dust? This isn't an ER or clean room. He was really pushing to try and sell something else. Because of the salesman that came 'to make sure the door work was correct' is why we won't use this company again. "
"Our AC went out in the heat of July. They were out the same day and charged the system. After a day, it was down again. We ordered a new system. They were out everyday to charge the system so we wouldn't boil, until a new coil came in, at no charge.. They installed the coil as a substitute coil for the leaky one as a stopgap until out system came in, at no charge. After installation, they made two more trips to make sure the system was working properly. Alex and his team were professional in every way."

"We had a leak in our 12 year old water heater so had Your Home Services come out to take a look. It was leaking all over the place so they advised we replace with a new unit. Everything went smooth, great service all around and a pretty quick install. It happened on New Year's Eve so we had to wait until after the holiday, but that's totally understandable. All around happy with the work and will use them again for future plumbing (and A/C) needs."
"Outstanding work! I was under insulated in my attic, which I had no idea of but not only that I had mice!Edward was informative about what I needed done and the health risk it can cause. Show up on time job was done in a day I could move more satisfied. I recommend CritterX, and will be tell my friends !"
"The space now is fully cooled without overworking any of the units. Very professional and quick turnaround. Nikolas always responded with rapid and helpful information on this project. Will definitely be using again for future projects."
Asphalt roofs provide better insulation than metal roofs, but that doesn’t always mean that asphalt roofs are better for reducing heating and cooling bills. In hotter climates, metal roofs will usually be better for home efficiency because the material reflects more sunlight and reduces solar heat gain. In colder climates, asphalt roofs are sometimes superior in terms of efficiency because they introduce more solar heat gain to your home and have greater insulating capabilities. However, metal roofs installed with an air gap can provide similar levels of insulation.
Asbestos has many beneficial properties, including fire resistance, strength, and chemical resistance. It is also an excellent insulator, which is why it was used in pipe insulation and other building materials for decades. For all its benefits, asbestos is dangerous for human health, which is why it was eventually banned from use in certain products.
The cost of installing spray foam insulation is $2,760 on average, but this cost can be as low as $650 or as high as $7,700. The main cost factor is the size of the insulated area and the type of spray foam insulation.
Polyurethane spray foam costs between $0.44 and $1.50per board foot, where a board foot is equal to the volume of a one-foot length of a board. More expensive options, like soybean or vegetable oil spray foam, range from $1.50 to $3.00 per board foot.
Yes, crawl space insulation is worth it if installed correctly. Installing insulation in your crawl space will improve the air quality, help stabilize your home's temperature, lower your energy bills, and prevent pests from entering your home. Though you’ll pay more to install insulation initially, the savings you get from installing insulation can help offset those initial costs over time.
A DIY blown-in insulation project in a typical attic should take you no more than a week to complete. Experienced homeowners can blow an entire attic in one or two days.
