"Randall did an exceptional job for me. He actually did more than was expected... more than his free quote was to include. I have a large backyard where I had raked the leaves (last year's leaves and this year) into probably 10 piles. Randall included the leaf clean-up in the price for tree-trimming service. Not only did he clean-up the leaf piles but went along the back fence-line raking and hauling away all the debris and pine needles. There was a good amount. I told him I did not expect him to do all that extra work as it was not included in the original quote but he said no problem he had it. I am a widow with a very bad back... the extra work he did after I told him I did not expect it... well, I am a very happy customer and will be hiring him again this summer for additional tree trimming. Highly recommend Randall Billings."

Small jobs welcome

"I can’t recommend the Junk Star Haulers enough! I hired the company to help clear out a massive amount of construction debris from my three-story home during a complete remodel, and they absolutely delivered. Tim, the owner, was fantastic!! He showed up right on time and got straight to work. When I say there was a lot of stuff, I mean a mountain of debris, and they handled it all quickly, efficiently, and without any issues!!!! What I figured would be an overwhelming process turned into an stress-free experience thanks to his professionalism and hard work. If you’re looking for a reliable, no-nonsense junk removal service, look no further. Tim and his team exceeded my expectations, and I’ll definitely be calling them again for any future needs."

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

Government regulations such as the EPA and OSHA govern lead removal procedures to ensure health and environmental safety during and after abatement.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), hazardous waste is generally classified into four main categories:

1. Characteristic Wastes: These exhibit at least one of four hazardous traits: ignitability (flammable, like gasoline), corrosivity (can rust or decompose materials, like car batteries), reactivity (unstable and can explode, like aerosol cans), or toxicity (harmful when ingested, like lead-based paint).

2. Listed Wastes: These are specific wastes from manufacturing and industrial processes that the EPA has officially designated as hazardous. They include byproducts from processes that use solvents, pesticides, and other chemicals.

3. Universal Wastes: These are commonly generated hazardous items that are subject to streamlined regulations. Examples include batteries, pesticides, mercury-containing equipment (e.g., bulbs), and some lamps.

4. Mixed Wastes: This category includes waste that contains both hazardous and radioactive components, making it subject to regulation by both the EPA and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

No, you can’t place hazardous waste in a dumpster unless you specifically ordered a dumpster for hazardous waste removal. If the dumpster company finds hazardous waste that it didn’t approve for dumping, the company will return the waste to you, and you’ll likely face a fine for illegal dumping.

If the lead paint is in a place that is not easily disturbed and is not flaking or deteriorating, you do not necessarily need to remove it. Lead is toxic when dust particles or flakes from peeling lead paint are ingested. If people are not in the area with the lead paint, it may be safe to leave it in place. You still may want to consider encapsulation with a paint formulated for covering lead-based paint, just for an added layer of protection.

You may see specialty products for sale to remove lead dust, such as D-Lead surface wipes. But you do not need to buy a special cleaner just for lead dust. A regular all-purpose cleaner, like 409 or something similar, is sufficient for cleanup. Just make sure to follow the manufacturer's directions when using it and to dilute with water.
