He explained what he would do, rolled up an area rug, laid down a big tarp, and carefully disassembled the pieces of the fireplace to access the flue, etc. He used a large vacuum that emitted no dust. We had not had our chimney swept in 4 years and he was able to remove about 3-4 inches...
