"This job was done in February 2017. I just discovered I never finished writing the review. So here it is 3 years later. First, doing this review now lets me tell you that our new metal roof made it through Hurricane Michael with flying colors. We had other storm damage ($25,000 worth) but the roof did fine. The job was done on schedule though interrupted by two afternoon heavy rain events. First class installation by a team that showed up on-time each morning, worked hard and got along well together. They were proud of their work and and cleaned up the site when done even using a magnetic sweeper to lift any roofing nails that might have fallen. The roof we chose was white which made our house really stand out over the gray siding and white trim. Moreover, our HVAC bills were lowered (I track it). Last, I want to tell you that Guyson are more than just roofers after your money. They are fine local people. Recently, my 94 year-old neighbor climbed on his roof to do some repairs. He fell off the roof onto a concrete pad and spent 5 days in intensive care. 20-some staples in his head, boot on his left leg and badly bruised ribs but super lucky to be alive. Needless to say, he's not going to get on the roof anytime soon. I get "the cat claws" when I'm on a pitched roof. So I called Guyson and when they heard the story they came out and looked at the job. Although they are swamped and this is a small job they're gonna do finish the repair anyway. God love 'em. BTW, my neighbor's fall is how I found out I never finished this review I started in 2017."

"2020 has passed and we couldn't be happier with our completed first floor project, thanks to Jim Rutherford Construction. Jim was willing to tackle what other local well known contractors were either unwilling to consider or bid so high as to be unaffordable. Our project proved to be a technical challenge from the onset, raise the ground floor by almost a foot of concrete, completely rebuild the first floor by installing 3 impact French doors, 3 impact doors and 4 impact windows, cut off support an internal staircase including modifying framing around a dumbwaiter, reframe and replace every exterior wall from 4' down. Plus an added surprise rebuilding and repairing 45' of a heavily spalled concrete tie-beam in less than a week. We're still amazed at how quickly and confidently Jim set about taking on the project, he seemed to have it figured out before we even committed to getting started. He knew just right carpenters and subs to assign the work to. Once they began, they never stopped till the project was completed. Workmanship was outstanding, inspections were a breeze. I commend Jim and his crew for the quality of work and attention to detail, no shortcuts taken, stainless hardware/fasteners throughout and only pressure treated lumber. Add them all up and we have a completely new remodeled permitted downstairs ready to withstand the elements. It is without hesitation we'd recommend Jim Rutherford Construction for any project or home construction. Professional, polite and a pleasure to do business with."

We offer free / no obligation Mobile Home and Carport Safety Inspections and free estimates if anything is found to be deficient under the home. Our main focus is to re-anchor mobile homes, relevel when needed and repair vapor barrier if any has been compromised, all under the home. We bring homes up to 15C-1.0104 & satisfy FS 320.8325 Florida codes and issue a certificate of completion once the anchoring job has been completed. This certificate makes the home eligible for reduced homeowners insurance through American Integrity / Pinnacle Insurance Company out of Tampa. My company does not accept any money down, no deposit up front, nor downpayment of any kind. Once the job is complete and the homeowner is happy with the completion and the owner /. crew chief is happy with the completion, then settlement can take place. "Dwight from Cornerstone Construction is the REAL deal! I am probably one of the pickiest people when it comes to contractors. I have never liked a single one, but Dwight is absolutely wonderful. They have remodeled our entire kitchen (removed our whole old kitchen and replaced it with a brand new kitchen including appliances, exhaust, backsplash, etc) - it looks perfect, which I NEVER say. I have no conflict of interest....I am tired of contractors who don't do a good job so when I found Dwight, I was ecstatic. I have used his company for the build out of my medical office and always refer our friends and family to him."
