"Adrian was great. My brother was at Home Depot trying to figure out what he needed to buy to clear a clog that was causing our toilets to back up. Adrian noticed he was needing assistance and they struck up a conversation ending with Adrian coming to the house to clear the clog. Talk about divine intervention!! He fished the camera through and it cleared the clog. He refused to accept payment since the clog cleared so easily. What a Samaritan! I will definitely be using Adrian to install the new toilets I plan to replace."

"All of our bathtubs and toilets would not go down in the house. Lyons and cubs plumbing came out quickly and was able to find and fix the issue the same day. They also did a camera inspection and located the problem which was a giant root from a tree in our yard had broken the pipe. They were able to show me the root with their camera and locate the exact spot to cut out and fix. They were able to dig and fix the spot that day for a reasonable price! Definitely recommend them for any plumbing issues you have!"

"The staff was just great. Called me right back to finalize the scheduling of my appointment and even moved it up a day to accommodate me. The toilet purchased and installed was $599.00 after a $50.00 discount. Not sure what the going rates are for a standard toilet installed."

Toilets questions, answered by experts

Tools include a wrench, plunger, and wax ring. Professionals use specialized tools for complex installations.

Installation costs range from $150 to $400, depending on toilet type and labor.

If your toilet is still leaking after replacing the toilet flapper, then you may not have installed the toilet flapper correctly. Double-check that you have placed the flapper over the overflow tube correctly, and check the flapper chain is at the right length. If your toilet is still leaking, then you may have another problem on hand. For example, you may need to replace the toilet wax ring or replace the toilet fill valve if your toilet is wobbly and leaking from around the base.

One of the many benefits of a pressure-assist toilet is how long it lasts. You can expect a well-maintained one to last up to 30 years. That's five years longer than a standard gravity-fed toilet, so it can be a worthwhile investment if you’re willing to spend more on your toilet installation.

If you have to hold the toilet handle (also called the toilet lever) down to flush, you probably have a chain problem. A chain that cannot fully lift the flapper will close too early and not clear the toilet bowl. Try adjusting the chain length so there’s about ½ inch of slack.
