"I have had exceptional service from Shane. He shows up when he says he is, and my lawn looks great! He did some spring cleanup for me and now maintains my lawn. Now I am getting him to do some more projects for me. Great to have a dependable contractor!"

"I recently purchased a home and discovered that the irrigation system had been neglected to the point where some portions of it were just bubbling water into the gutter vs actually spraying. Large sections of the lawn never received water at all while others were soggy. J & W not only responded to my request for a quote immediately (as soon as I clicked on "send")...they completed the service the next day. They were super friendly, efficient, and most of all when they were finished, everything worked! I now have sprinkler heads that actually spray vs bubble, and all parts of the lawn are getting coverage. The work involved changing out several heads to more efficient/better suited types, fixing broken pipes, and capping off others so that more pressure was going where it needed to go. Excellent service and great job!"

"It's hard to find somebody you can trust these days everybody wants a quick buck and do very little, I can't begin to tell you the Contractors who have ripped us off over the last 10 years but every now and then you find one who actually cares and B&M Wells Pumps and irrigation certainly was a Great choice we got lucky. He arrived at the exact time he said he would and called in advance before arrival. He quickly discovered the problem and initiated a plan for repair. He was very methodical when beginning the repair. I noticed he double checked each step and cut no corners. He also maintained a very positive up beat attitude through out the process. Unlike any plumbers we have used in the Baker and surrounding counties he actually was very knowledgeable and knew what he was doing, and was great at explaining well and pump operations. I highly recommend Brandon (B&M Wells, Pumps & irrigation) for your home repair needs. Thank you Home Advisors for the recommendation. Might I also stress to the people PLEASE read the reviews. "Florida has underground aquaducts and my mother-in-law had a similar service done on her property years prior (different company). The process went very smoothly and we feel we got a great price, since a neighbor who had had the same job done for him by someone else felt that we got a very good deal."

We offer an overheat protection switch to keep your pumps protected. Our price point is far better than what would cost you to replace your well and centrifugal pumps. Preventive care is always better than reactive care. Aside from distributors and pump manufacturers, we don't have return clientele because our switch works perfectly. 5 minute installation and a product made in USA that is less than $200. Patented product.

Lawn Irrigation questions, answered by experts

If maintained correctly, natural grass should last between five and 15 years, or up to several decades, depending on your home’s climate conditions. You can extend your grass’ lifespan by treating it well, including regular mowing, weeding, watering, and preventative pest control. Consider hiring a local lawn care service to provide everything your grass needs to live a long, healthy life.

Services typically include mowing, edging, trimming, and debris cleanup. Additional options may consist of fertilization and weed control.

Seeding typically takes 1-2 days, with growth visible within 2-3 weeks under proper conditions.

When stored under ideal conditions, grass seed lasts anywhere from 10 to 18 months from the testing date without any real decrease in the germination rate. You can still use the seeds after this timeframe, but the germination rates drop 10% to 20% each year.

If you’re just embarking on an overseeding project, using seeds that have been in storage for a few years isn’t too big of a deal. However, if you’re planning on redoing your entire landscape, your best bet for a healthy, luscious lawn is to use new seeds.

Unfortunately, garages are one of the worst places to store grass seeds, despite their proximity to yards. Garages are hot and humid, two environmental traits that are detrimental to grass seeds. Grass seed has the best chance of survival in a dry space with temperatures ranging from 30 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit.

With that in mind, the best place to store seeds is in a sealed container in the refrigerator or in the coolest part of your home. Also, limit your seeds’ access to sunlight for the best germination results down the line.
