"I have used Shannon in the past do refresh our landscaping. I called him this time because I wanted to have him build a patio and landscape our backyard. Shannon came out a few days after I contact him. He got the measurements and had his landscape designer come out. They designed a plan. Once the pavers arrived they began their work. I could not be happier with the end result. I love my patio and new plants."

Customers say: True professional

"If you're looking to install pavers, call Bosstones - if you are going to use concrete, would rather have pavers but think you can't afford it, call Bosstones. I had a 140' long heavily cracked concrete driveway. Thanks to Marcelo and his band of pleasant craftsmen, I now have a beautiful pavered driveway which is the envy of my neighborhood, for the same cost as new concrete! Marcelo is a true master of his trade, loves what he does, and treats his work as a reflection of his character. In an economy of cost cutting and shoddy workmanship, he does more than you'd bargained for because he stands by it. I give this company my highest recommendation."

"Maria did an outstanding job on my driveway, patio, and garage floor. From start to finish, her professionalism, attention to detail, and craftsmanship were top-tier. She took the time to ensure everything was done right, and the final results exceeded my expectations. The driveway looks clean and polished, the patio came out beautiful and well-finished, and the garage floor is smooth, durable, and high-quality. You can tell she takes pride in her work and doesn’t cut corners. If you’re looking for someone reliable who delivers excellent results, I highly recommend Maria. I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out—definitely a five-star experience."

"Ryan did a great job on our home and deck. He was even willing to come on a Sunday so the house would look good for our Thanksgiving guests. I would definitely recommend Gainey Pressure Washing."

Patios questions, answered by experts

The cost to screen in a porch depends on whether you are adding screens to an existing structure or building a new one from scratch. Adding screens to an existing porch costs about $5 to $7 per square foot, with a national average cost of around $2,800. For example, screening a 12-by-12-foot (144-square-foot) porch would likely cost between $700 and $1,000. If you are building a new screened-in porch, the cost is substantially higher. A new 12-by-12-foot screened-in porch can cost between $6,400 and $18,300, while a new 14-by-16-foot one averages around $11,000. The final price will vary based on the size of the porch, labor costs, and the materials you choose.

A solarium is a luxury addition to a home and can be an excellent breakfast area or reading space, but that doesn't mean there aren't disadvantages. For one, since the room is made of glass it can look dirty very quickly. Another disadvantage is solariums are notoriously hard to balance temperature and will most likely significantly increase your heating and air conditioning bill. Unlike a greenhouse addition to a house, a solarium won’t help you grow as many plants.

How many square feet a sheet of plywood can cover depends on the size of the plywood sheet. A 4x8 sheet of plywood covers 32 square feet, while a 5x5 sheet of plywood covers 25 square feet. The cost to board up a window with plywood or install plywood under a new roof will depend on the total size of the area.

A screened-in porch requires maintenance to keep the screens clean and in good shape, and you may have to do some screen repair or replacement from time to time. A screen porch isn’t an all-season porch, so the weather can get in, including wind and rain.

Yes, porches require foundations. The type of foundation required, however, is determined by the type and use of the porch. For example, a screened-in porch won’t require a new cement foundation. However, if you turn your porch into a sunroom or plan on making it a living space, then chances are you need a foundation that’s more permanent than piers and posts.
