"After I signed the contract and gave my deposit, I had a hard time getting responses on details, i.e. when they were coming to measure, etc.  Calls would go unreturned.  A couple of times, workers showed up unannounced to measure.  This was very odd.  Ultimately, they did a good job installing the garage door and the shutters for the front door, and their price was good.

"Lee is extremely professional and so is her staff. They arrived for the initial quote on time and every other week since then.
They are a pleasure to deal with, especially after some of the past cleaning companies we have used.

"Our wood floors have never looked better, and everything is because of the exquisite service of Martinez Wood Floors. When we called them to ask for an estimate, we were frustrated because we had already asked for several quotes and they were either very expensive or you could tell the contractor had no experience. But, when we talked to Mr. Martinez in person we knew that we had found the right person for the job. They sent out the estimate with the numbers that same day in the afternoon and began work two days after. Polite and honest employees, so you won't have to worry about who is working in your house. The owner always answered our calls and was very constant explaining every step of the process. When they were doing the bedrooms, they found that the basement floor was rotten, so we had to replace that whole room with new wood. They provided the wood floors for us at a great price, so they are also good on that. After approximately a week of work, everything was finished and omg, what a change. I never thought that the floors were going to come out that good; they did magic. Very much recommended for future hardwood flooring projects. Oh and they even left me a courtesy cleaning kit. They are the best!"

"FL Project Masters was great to work with.  From the first meeting, he took time to explain what was involved to achieve our desired results and  recommend different options to suit our budget. Eric and his crew were very courteous and professional. They kept the house as clean as possible throughout the process and arrived on time, communicating with us via text to confirm times.  Eric checked in on all the work to make sure that everything was done properly. The job was finished on time and we were very happy with the results.  This project was the first stage of renovations on our new old home and we are looking forward to working with FL Project Masters again in the future!

"If you want outstanding Quality, Workmanship and Service you need to go with Eagles Bay also known as Build Out Co. Their attention to detail is impeccable!! Since the beginning Bernie & Christian have been very communicative, always on time and provided high end quality work. I could not be more ecstatic about my next project with them. I will continue working with this company and will recommend them to everyone. Note: Good quality materials and handmade workmanship is hard to come by these days, and is not cheap. If you are looking for frugal materials, I recommend going to IKEA."

"They were able to match the other exam rooms exactly so they look like they'd always been there (except newer).  Jon is one of those rare commodities in Miami: A CONTRACTOR THAT ANSWERS THE PHONE.  He also SHOWS UP WHEN HE SAYS HE'S GOING TO SHOW UP.  On top of that, his prices are really good (we got several estimates and Jon's was better than a couple others), his guys do high quality work and THEY SHOW UP AND ACTUALLY DO THE WORK.  I can recommend them without reservation.  I couldn't be happier with the work and will definitely use again."

Unfinished Carpentry questions, answered by experts

The cost to install a bow window can range from $1,500 to $15,000, with a national average of $3,900. The total price includes materials, which can cost between $1,200 and over $14,000, and labor, which typically adds $300 to $1,900. Several factors influence the final cost, including the window's size and frame material. For example, vinyl frames are the most budget-friendly option, while wood frames are more expensive. Custom features or energy-efficient upgrades will also increase the price. For comparison, a bay window installation typically costs between $1,000 and $7,000.

The best way to calculate framing costs is by basing your costs on the square footage of your home. On average, framing your home could cost anywhere between $7 and $16 per square foot.

To ensure you don’t go over budget, base your estimates on the higher end of the price range. If you know you’re going to use high-end materials or require a custom or complex build, you might even want to tack on an additional 5% of your budget.

Building involves setting foundation posts, framing with durable wood, adding roofing support, and protecting from elements with water-resistant finishes.

Traditionally, bungalows are single-story homes, although having a half or partial story on top of the first floor is common. While adding a second story to a bungalow is certainly possible, the home would no longer be considered a bungalow by the strictest definition.

One of the most common house framing basics for decades has been using wood for the framing work. However, some framing contractors now suggest using steel frames. Steel is lightweight, resistant to fire, and resistant to moisture, all of which are areas where wood framing could cause problems. However, steel framing is more expensive than wood and limits your ability to insulate the home.
