We hired Accurate Home Inspections for a home purchase. Douglas Mudge was our certified professional inspector. He was easy to contact and made himself available during the limited time we had to get the inspection done. Before inspecting the house, we spoke to Doug about which areas of the house required inspection and which ones were optional. He was upfront with costs of inspections and which ones he thought were not really needed for the year of that particular house. On the day of the inspection, Doug arrived on time and kept the inspection moving the entire day. We walked through the entire house with him during the inspection which was very helpful in answering some questions we had about the house. The report with detailed pictures was easy to read, straight forward and delivered in a timely manner.

Doug inspected the property without me present. The owner said that he was professional and very friendly. After the inspection he wrote up the findings and provided with a very detailed report in PDF format. After I went through the report he was kind enough to spend 30 minutes on the phone with me walking through any questions I had. The money spent on the inspection was well worth the price. He was able to add detail to the issues I knew about and found a few that I had not seen. In the end the level of detail that Doug provided gave me great confidence that I had a full picture of the condition of the property. Based on my experience I would absolutely recommend Accurate Home Inspections.

Excellent! We had other inspections performed by other outfits and Doug’s service and attention to detail were vastly superior. Given the gravity of a home purchase in the Florida Keys, I just would not risk using somebody other than Doug. I spend most of my life complaining about things so when I actually find the inclination to compliment it’s because it was well earned.

Mr. Mudge did an home inspection on two properties that I was interested in buying. He gave a very detailed report that unearthed issues with the first home I was interested in. Per his findings, if I had purchased would have cost me thousands of dollars. I appreciate his honesty and attention to detail. Well worth the price.

Doug was amazing! He was one time and very thorough! I'm in the real estate business and have used many home inspectors. Doug is at the top of the list! This specific job was in Key Largo, and I do my normal business in Palm Beach County, otherwise I would use him all the time!!!!!!

This is the 2nd time I have used Accurate Home Inspections. Doug is great. His reports are super detailed and thorough. I would never consider buying a house without using Accurate Home Inspections! Do not buy a home in the Florida Keys without having Doug come out and inspect your home He not only found damage the other inspector missed, it saved me over $30,000 on the purchase price for the roof credit Thanks Doug!!

Doug performed a very thorough home inspection on a property I was under contract to purchase. As a result of that inspection, he saved me tens of thousands of dollars by revealing multiple and what would be very costly issues with the home. I ended up canceling the contract as a result and found another home to purchase. He also performed the inspection on that house and is the most thorough of any one in town! I would only use and recommend Accurate Home Inspections if you plan to purchase in the Keys.

Home inspection went very smoothly. Doug was professional, courteous, and extremely thorough. He took hundreds of photos of the house, and sent a detailed report of all areas of concern regarding the house. I highly recommend him to anyone in need of a home inspection in the Keys.

Let me first start by saying "Doug is great at what he does!". Doug did my inspection on a single family residence and as a result created a 69 page report detailing every item that I needed to know about. His report was exhaustive and thorough. Each item is categorized (Normal, Monitor, Evaluate, Improve, or Repair/Replace). That lets you know the severity of the item if there is a problem with it. In addition, he gives you information like 'Time Frame', 'Implications' and 'Observations' that help determine how fast the item needs attention and extra information on the item. I guess the most impressive part of the report the coverage and thoroughness. When my real estate agent saw the report he was so impressed, his words to me were "I am going to call Doug and introduce my self to him". "I would like to use him in the future!". Doug, I hope he throws some business your way, it is well deserved. Don't hesitate to use Doug for your next home inspection! If I have the need for another inspection in the future, it will be one call to Doug!

I am sorry you felt our fee was a bit high, however for us to operate down here the way that we do, using the advanced technical equipment and providing much more than just the home inspection report, by that I mean a lifetime membership in Home Binder which also creates an estimate for repairs based on your report. For all of that and not to mention the fact that our company carries 1 million dollar liability insurance, which most inspectors do not as it is not required by the State, well we just have to charge a bit more and hope the customer understands the difference. Doug was great. He is VERY knowledgeable about all aspects of a home inspection. Explained all issues with us after the inspection. Irma happened and we had him go out again. He was very good and his findings helped us negotiate repairs. Even after his inspections were finished, we needed some advice and a letter to our lender. He provided these quickly and with no extra charge! I would recommend him anytime!
