"I highly recommend Duval Dreamscapes. They just completed a property cleanup for me and did an awesome job! The owner was quick to get in touch with me, we met up later that day to review the needed work and I received a reasonable quote. I was pleased with the communication from the beginning through completion of the job. Most importantly, they worked hard and did not stop until the job was completed. It required pickup, mowing long grass, trimming, weeding, trimming landscape and trimming palm trees. The outcome was well beyond my expectations. I recommend them for clean up and regular maintenance."

Small jobs welcome

"Duval Junk was prompt and very efficient. They were quick to respond and came when they said that they would. The gentlemen that came were very polite. I have a narrow driveway and they were able to quickly and easily back their truck down. I will use them again."

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

Unfortunately, lead dust does not look different from any other type of dust. You cannot detect it with the naked eye. To determine if you have lead dust in your home, you will need to hire a local company to take a sample from the paint and test it for you in a lab.

The best disposal method for hazardous waste is to take it to a professional dumping facility that specializes in and accepts hazardous materials. These facilities will dispose of the materials in a way that is safe for both humans and the environment. If you don’t have access to a nearby facility, the best way to get rid of hazardous waste is to call a professional garbage removal company who handles disposing of hazardous materials .

According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), hazardous waste is generally classified into four main categories:

1. Characteristic Wastes: These exhibit at least one of four hazardous traits: ignitability (flammable, like gasoline), corrosivity (can rust or decompose materials, like car batteries), reactivity (unstable and can explode, like aerosol cans), or toxicity (harmful when ingested, like lead-based paint).

2. Listed Wastes: These are specific wastes from manufacturing and industrial processes that the EPA has officially designated as hazardous. They include byproducts from processes that use solvents, pesticides, and other chemicals.

3. Universal Wastes: These are commonly generated hazardous items that are subject to streamlined regulations. Examples include batteries, pesticides, mercury-containing equipment (e.g., bulbs), and some lamps.

4. Mixed Wastes: This category includes waste that contains both hazardous and radioactive components, making it subject to regulation by both the EPA and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

You do not have to remove lead paint if the surface is not chipping or peeling or if there are no pregnant people or children under the age of six who live in or regularly visit your home. Lead paint is a particular risk for young children whose brains and bodies are not fully developed. Experts strongly recommend that you call a pro to remove lead paint if it’s peeling or flaking, no matter who lives in the home. You can experience lead poisoning by breathing in or ingesting just a small amount of it.

Government regulations such as the EPA and OSHA govern lead removal procedures to ensure health and environmental safety during and after abatement.
