"Aldo and his Team at A Best Insulation were very responsive and did a great job. They were especially helpful in terms of protecting our equipment & furniture and working around our schedules. They cleaned everything up when the job was complete and were very concerned about our safety, during and after the install. We have already noticed a dramatic difference in not having to keep our Air Conditioning set as low as we used to and less humidity in the house has made us much more comfortable! I highly recommend the Spray Foam Insulation done by A Best!"
"i insulated my entire attic with the foam insulation. atlas were pretty much inline with the other proposals i got for it. they did an excellent job. came on time ,didn't cut corners and left the job site very clean (and this is not obvious as it is a really messy job). i was very happy with the overall service."
"Couldn’t have chosen a better more professional company to do my insulation. Mr. Vazquez was prompt, quick and literally a Master at his profession. Highly recommend for future projects."
"Added insulation to attic. The guys were prompt, clean, friendly and charged a fair price for the work done. ð Thank you Savvy Insulation Inc. Keep up the good work!"
"MARC JONES CONSTRUCTION TEAM ARRIVED ON SCHEDULE AND INSTALLED THE SOLAR ARRAY OVER TWO DAYS. ON MONDAY, WE HAD INSPECTION AND A FEW DAYS LATER THE ATTIC WAS INSULATED WITH FOAM TO REDUCE HEAT LOAD ON AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM. EVERYTHING WENT SMOOTHLY EXCEPT FOR INADVERTANTLY UNPLUGGING THE SYSTEM CIRCUITBREAKER DURING THE FOAMING OPERATIO. "
" We called the company (AAA Construction Restoration Services) to repair a leak in our roof. John Walters responded immediately and made an appointment to come to our home the next day. He was on time , looked over the situation and gave us an estimate by text.! We agreed and the very next morning , on time as promised, several men showed up and began working right away. They were very hard working, no goofing around, and repaired the problem . They even painted an area where there was damage (which was not even in the estimate) They also cleaned up everything and hauled away any debris. Having previously dealt unhappily with Miami construction companies, I was very happily surprised and pleased with all aspects of the way AAA dealt with me. They were ON TIME, EFFICIENT, REASONABLE and DID A GREAT JOB. I would recommend them to anyone with a similar need Mike Maguire
"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."

There are some instances when you can use extra drywall in your garden. Ideally, unused scraps of new drywall are best for amending soil without the concern of additional chemicals or mold. However, drywall with paint, mold, or potential asbestos requires specialized disposal by a professional and should be kept out of your garden.
The easiest way to tell if a wall is load bearing is to check if it’s an exterior wall or if it runs perpendicular to the joists above and below it (or parallel to beams). Exterior walls are almost always load-bearing, and walls that run under beams or parallel to them are also usually load-bearing. There are exceptions to these rules, and walls that don’t fit into these categories can still be load-bearing. If you’re unsure, hire a structural engineer to look at your home to assess whether or not the wall is structural.
In framing, studs are placed at 16-inch intervals to coincide with the typical spacing of wall materials such as drywall or plywood. This spacing is called "on-center" and is necessary for maintaining structural stability and efficient use of materials. The 16-inch spacing also helps to distribute the weight evenly across the building's structure. For those looking to cut material costs and improve energy efficiency, 24-inch stud spacing can be employed through a method called "advanced framing". This requires careful planning and adherence to local building codes to ensure structural integrity.
You can skim coat plaster, but it’s better to repair the plaster itself. A skim coat is a thin coat of drywall joint compound spread over the surface of a wall. The result is a flat finish that looks pleasing, but part of the appeal of plaster is its imperfections and aesthetic. Skim coating is best when limited to drywall applications.
Drying alone can take 1 to 4 hours to dry to the touch per plaster layer, but some types of plaster take several hours longer to dry. However, this doesn’t mean the job is done because plaster doesn’t fully harden until it cures, which can take a few days to a couple of weeks. It may take even longer if you’re building a new, pretty thick plaster wall. Allow the plaster to cure before painting it.
