"I called Perdido Heating and Air to schedule an estimate on replacing my air conditioner and was surprised to hear that a free estimate could be given the same day that I called. The receptionist was more that helpful. Our system was working at the time but it was well over due for an overhaul. I thought it was very nice of the receptionist to ask if my system was working, because if it wasnt she was going to try and send someone out right away. I received bids from other companies, but none of the "estimators" were quite as thourough as the man from Perdido Heating and Air. He asked if I had any hot or cold spots in the house and even inspected my air ducts. None of the other companies told me that there were tax credits and rebates available for high efficiency air conditioners. Perdido Heating and Air did and I received $2500 in savings. When it came for the 'big day' the crew arrived on time and were very clean. In fact, Im almost embarrased to say that the house was cleaner when they left than when they arrived. They contact me really promptly and set up an appointment for someone to come look at it and let me know that they would examine the problem for free and let me know the cost up front before doing any work-a huge help for someone on a budget and provided a time window that the tech would be arriving in! They called and texted me a reminder the day before the appointment and the technician text when he was on his way. Upon his arrival he really quickly knew what the problem was, and resolved it AND went the extra mile and showed me how to fix it if it happened again and took the time to explain why it happened-and did all of this as a courtesy! "The dispatcher told me that someone would be at my home between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM but since there were several trucks operating in my area the possibility was good that someone could be there earlier. Eventually i was notified that the time would be moved out to sometime between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM. They eventually arrived at around 8:30 PM and determined that the equipment that they had could not be used in my pipes and even if it could they could not access my roof vent due to the fact it was dark. They did offer a substantial discount for the job due to the lateness of the call and set up an appointment for the next morning at 8:00 AM. The technicians arrived at around 8:45 the next morning and did a wonderful job of completely clearing the drain in around an hour. They were especially good at explaining what they were doing as well as using gloves and shoe covers to protect floors and cabinets. So despite the scheduling snafus there was a good outcome."
