"I originally had scheduled to work with another Angie's LIst pressure washing company but after they had some failed machines and schedule conflicts, my name was passed on to Ron with Clean Pro Exterior Services.  Ron not only honored the price set with the other company but also came out the same day (Sunday) to make sure the project was completed in time.  Our composite wood deck has not looked this good since we bought the house.  They thoroughly cleaned every spot on the deck and even got underneath the built in benches to ensure it was all clean.  Ron also cleaned the front driveway, sidewalks, and front porch. We have the cleanest pavement around now! I can not tell you how great of an experience this was and he even followed up with a phone call the following day to make sure everything was still looking good. After seeing what quality work his company completes, we have already booked him to come out again next weekend to clean the siding, bricks, and gutters at a price you can't beat.  Would definitely recommend Clean Pro Exterior Services if you're looking for great results at a great price.

"**Lengthy Review** I am one of those people that do not typically take the time to review, if I do, it is because I genuine think that the experience was exceptional and beyond reproach, deserving of a shout out. With that said, Full Force Pressure Washing has checked every block as a business. This company was referred to me my a friend a few years ago and I have used them ever since, on multiple properties. As an investor, I approach dealing with contractors knowing that you typically must choose two of the following: Quality, Service, and Price... you do not get all three... 99.9% of the time. Full Force is in the 0.1%. They are professional, responsive, consistent, accommodating, friendly, thorough, punctual, careful with the property (no damaged siding, windows, etc.), appreciative of patronage, and provide an all around exceptional service while remaining priced below market average. As their business has grown over the years, they have managed to continue to make me feel valued as a customer. On multiple occasions I have called sort of last minute needing fairly fast service (within a few days or so) due to a scheduled appraisal. Where most companies would simply give me the next available date regardless of convenience to me, Full Force made it a point to get me in as soon as possible, without relinquishing their responsibility to other customers, and stayed late to do so as needed. At this point, there is no other pressure washing company that I will use in the Jacksonville area, period. If I can't get on their schedule at a given time of year (which has never happened) I will simply wait. If Full Force ever went out of business, I'd be legitimately upset... sounds ridiculous I know, "It's just pressure washing!" However, that's not the point... the point is that it is extremely RARE today to find a company of this caliber. They are doing all the right things and should be recognized as such. **This is not a paid review, I do not receive discounts or special treatment in return for a review. I will also be posting this same review with the BBB, Yelp, Google and wherever else I feel this might help Full Force Pressure Washing grow.**"

Sandblasting Services questions, answered by experts

Sanding and pressure washing serve different purposes in deck maintenance, so one is not necessarily better than the other. Pressure washing is ideal for annual cleaning to remove dirt, grime, mold, and mildew. Sanding is a deeper restoration method used to smooth rough surfaces, remove an old finish, and prepare the wood for a new coat of stain or paint. The ideal process for refinishing a deck is to first clean it (with a power washer), then sand it, and finally apply the new stain or finish. While cleaning should be done annually, sanding and staining are typically needed only every one to three years.

Your pro will most likely bill you at an hourly rate of $50 to $80 per hour to sandblast a door due to its small size. This type of job won't take long, so if you have other surfaces that need cleaning, schedule those tasks at the same time to get your money's worth from your pro's visit.

If you’re DIYing the project, it could take up to a week if you aren’t able to dedicate full-time hours. If you hire a professional and they arrive with a team, expect your stairs to be sanded in as little as 2 hours (for simple projects). Finishing the stairs takes a while longer as there are drying and sealing times to consider, but the actual work will take much less time than the sanding portion.

The best way to sand a deck is by cleaning it, sanding the boards and stairs with 60- or 80-grit sandpaper, and sanding the railings and posts with 80-grit sandpaper. You should sand in the direction of the wood grain to avoid damaging the timber. When sanding your deck, use medium pressure and aim for an even sand. Pressing too hard with a sander can damage decks, as most are softwoods.

Because these two systems have different applications, there is no definitive answer to which is better. When working with sturdy materials, sandblasting is cheaper and faster, but more delicate projects require soda blasting. Before choosing either option, consider your specific needs, particularly your ultimate goal (cleaning, removing rust, prepping for painting, etc.), the material, and your budget.
