"I began my remodeling project by getting estimates on new gutters and downspouts from contractors. When Benny offered his opinions to me something just clicked between us. In addition to the gutters, I had plans for roofing and painting my entire house along with many small jobs needing to be done later. I gave Benny a wish list and told him that I had budget in mind. After an hour of discussion, I came to the realization that I could have it all done in one shot with Benny. Two days later, Benny emailed me an estimate with a breakdown of each task. He was not the cheapest estimate, but he was in the ball park of all mid-range to high numbers and he is licensed, insured and bonded which is a necessity when people are on your roof and on ladders. He was a good fit for us. Great! I could now prioritize where my dollars should be spent. My wife and I sat down and decided that now was the time to fix up the old homestead for retirement. We contacted Benny and asked him if he could handle it all. Let's just say, lack of confidence is NOT a Benny Bennett character flaw. Lol. Gutters and downspouts, new roof (house and shed), power wash, lots of stucco repair, chimney pointing with a new cap, new capped foundation drip edge, full house painting, and even a TV antenna with ground installed were the assignments given Benny and his crew. Ah, now to his crew! T.J. and Steve are two of the most capable and cooperative young men I've ever had the pleasure to work with. Friendly and hard working are the words that I would use to describe these guys. A third worker came on the final two days, but I didn't really interact with him. Was this an easy experience? Not always, and it did take nearly three weeks due to tropical storm weather, a holiday, and vacations, but it was mostly painless. I'm not an easy guy to please and this was not an inexpensive job and I expect to get exactly what I pay for; nothing more, nothing less. Benny, T.J., Steve, and I planned and executed a very large undertaking in a fairly short amount of time in nearly 100° weather. I will say this: at the end of three weeks, I am a VERY HAPPY HOMEOWNER. I would certainly recommend Benny Bennett Contracting to all people who aren't sure what is possible for their homes to see if he is a good fit for you as well. After all, it's only and estimate. "The crew did an excellent job stuccoing the entire house. The building was old and had irregular walls, old stucco, and bare walls. Vimar Stucco used lath on the entire structure, including covering the old stucco where others wanted to use a bonding agent (glue). They took their time and straightened the rough areas, did the columns,  front of the deck and two out-buildings.  The house looks like a new structure. Even our other contractors are amazed at how well it turned out. the price was less than other quotes we got. They even loaned us scaffolding before the job started so we could do some exterior work.  They did a nice knock-down finish on the main house and matched the stucco finish on one of the older side buildings.  I would gladly use them again. They are a small operation and can be difficult to contact, but they did reply to our calls and texts.

"Jeff really is AWESOME! He has done a lot of work for me over the last 18 mos. and will be doing more, because he is always on time, exceeds expectations and his fees are always reasonable. Most importantly, Jeff really does treat your home like his own. And while he is a first-rate painter, what impressed me most was his ability to turn his hand to just about anything and do it extremely well. So, I did not need to hire a lot of different pros to get projects from start to finish. Jeff did a beautiful job patching drywall and painting the interiors of 2 homes for me--one of which sold in 3 days for the asking price, the other I live in now. He matched the exterior paint on the chimney of my new home to cover the seller’s sloppy stucco patch job and did it so well the patch itself is hardly noticeable. He’s installed 4 new ceiling fans and moved 2 others for me. Plus, he has replaced a dining room pendant light, an 8-lamp bathroom vanity light and 2 garage wall lanterns. Also, Jeff patched a hole in the side of the concrete foundation and did such a great job, it’s unnoticeable, and so tight it stopped tiny ants from coming in. He also repaired several interior and exterior doors and replaced all but the frame of a damaged attic ladder by himself (Not an easy job). Jeff is amiable and honest and when he couldn’t do a job, he said so. Then he went out of his way to find someone who could, for a great price. Can’t ask for more than that."
