"The custom cabinet makers who originally built our cabinets were contracted to build a kitchen island unit with a granite top.  Despite very long delays, they finished island was beautifully done - but they kept delaying and saying "no one" could match the Crema Bordeaux granite we had in the size we needed.  This went on from March to early April with no results.  I finally got fed up and searched for granite providers in the Pinellas County area.  Chris at Alpha Stone Works was the first to call back (I saw his reviews on Angie's List).  He told me he had seen a pretty large selection that morning that he thought would go well with the pictures of our existing counters I sent him.  He sent us to Mont Krest stonework on 102nd in Pinellas Park.  I have seen and bought a lot of stone over the years but have never seen a place like this.  Beautiful showroom and a large stone area with some of the most unique slabs of stone I have seen.  We picked a half-slab, called Chris and he picked up the stone, did a template of our island and cut, finished and installed the stone in less than a week.  Very happy with the work and company.
