"
Original ridge vent was installed when the roof was replaced in 2010 by Wilson's Roofing of Bay County. After a full year of use I had the ridge vent inspected by two other roofing companies and found that the vent was not done correct. It was causes a strong odor in the house due to the fact that the hot air was back flowing into the living area. Since Lewis replaced the ridge vent with one that meets the required ventilation I no longer have a problem."

"Excellent. The company walked me through it and addressed any questions and concerns I had. I love that I can literally check on the status of my home on my phone. I can set the alarm or remove it with the touch of a button. Frontpoint feels that self installation is safer and superior then having a stranger come in and set it up. I agree. I am a 72 year old widow and had no trouble installing the alarm system myself. Now I feel secure and I also know exactly how everything works. If there is a problem, Frontpoint is a phone call away and will walk me through addressing the issue."

Chimney Liner Installation questions, answered by experts

Installation typically takes 4-8 weeks, including site preparation and liner installation.

Avoid pool liner wrinkles by moving slowly as you attach the edge of the liner to the pool wall. Add a few inches of water during this process and slowly walk from the center of the pool to the walls, lightly pressing the liner as you go. For an in-ground pool with a beaded liner, you can also use a wet-and-dry vac to suction out the remaining groundwater and air between the liner and the pool foundation.

Pool leaks most commonly occur at joints or where different materials meet. The most frequent leak spots include:

  • The Pool Skimmer: Where the plastic skimmer meets the pool's liner or shell.

  • The Pool Liner: Tears can develop in vinyl liners, especially those between 5 and 20 years old. Leaks also occur around the liner's edge.

  • Fittings and Accessories: Areas around return lines, the main drain, and pool lights are common culprits.

  • Pool Equipment: The pump, filter, and filter housing can also leak.

While leaks in underground pipes are less common, they can be costly to fix. It's usually best to check the more common spots before investigating the plumbing system.

While you can perform some repairs to a pool liner without draining the pool, you’ll need to empty it to remove the old liner and install a new one. Since most pools don’t have a main drain, you’ll need to use a submersible pump or pool cover pump to drain the water. If you are installing a new liner, be sure to assess and repair the pool walls and floor to ensure a good installation for the new liner.

Permits ensure compliance with local ordinances, mainly if structural changes are involved or when modifying property water systems.
