"AAA construction is the contractor we hired to remodel our house. Kitchen, bathrooms, floors, essentially the entire interior of the home. From day one, until we moved in and even until recently when a small adjustment needed to be made, their professionalism, attention to detail and talents as contractors were second to none. We met with many contractors before we sat down with John to discuss our plans and before Dustin came to our house to start the remodel. I can honestly say that we were lucky in hiring them. These days it is difficult to find a skilled much less honest contractor to perform even simple jobs. When you add the knowledge and experience they have I believe it would be very difficult to match. Their work ethic is what some of us would refer to as old school. Again this is something you can appreciate after you meet with enough other companies and realize how many impostors there are in Dade County. With AAA you have a contractor with a college degree in this field. Do yourself a favor and in the very least contact them and discuss your plans. Feel free to contact me via email for a reference. Structural Engineering questions, answered by experts

Costs depend on furniture type, size, complexity, and whether additional modifications are needed.

Whether you’re building a new home or building an extension on your existing property, you will likely need both a structural engineer and an architect. A structural engineer will determine what loads your foundation and framing can safely handle, and an architect will draw plans according to those structural calculations to simplify the building process. You can start by contacting a structural engineer near you, as many work alongside architects and can get all of the prep work done at once.

A structural engineer’s report is almost always worth it, as it can help you avoid buying or overpaying for a home with structural issues. The most important thing the report does for you is provide peace of mind that you won’t have to pay thousands of dollars for structural repairs right after closing on a property.

Building codes for spiral staircases will vary by your location. Most local codes will specify minimum tread width, riser height, handrail requirements, and headroom. These standards help ensure safety and accessibility for all users. Always check local codes before you begin the installation to ensure compliance and avoid costly modifications or fines.

Structural engineers can perform various inspections on different structures in your home. These inspections usually include a report detailing the engineer’s findings and recommendations for repairs so you can determine your next course of action for repairs, replacements, or new builds. Some of the most common structural engineering reports include:

  • Full home inspection: $350–$1,000

  • Foundation: $300–$800

  • Load-bearing walls: $300–$1,000

  • Roof: $150–$600

  • Chimney: $200–$500
