Although we are waiting for the final plans we are very happy with the work so far.

Worked within agreed time frame.

We contracted with Mr. Lipe in August and gave him $2,500 as a down payment. Eight months later, we have not received the plans and he will not return calls or emails. Do not do business with this company or individual.

Keystone did not have time for my small project.

I have spent 40 years renovating historic homes in North Hill and never found an architect, like Mark, who understood the depth and breath of designing additions or modifications that kept with the historic style. Mark was quick to answer questions and make changes for us. He made sure the plans were what we really wanted before he completed and printed the final plans.

He answers the phone! That's a huge bonus in this area. A small thing but so appreciated. Texting with Mark usually got me a response within minutes. Even on weekends. I can't tell you how rare this is. I'm a workaholic and my job so rarely gives me a day off, so I love Mark. Hey, if you love what you do, it's not work, right? :) He never made me feel like an inconvenience as I altered my plans again and again. He's happy to offer suggestions. I mostly designed the space and he drew it to scale very nicely but I really like the fireplace he designed for us. He's also very kind. I like working with nice people and I would definitely work with Mark again.

We felt completely at ease with Mark's visit to our home and after talking to him about the addition we wanted he was able to give us a spot on plan that flows just right with the rest of our house. He communicated with us well and was prompt and efficient in getting our design done. We felt like the price was fair and having our plan in hand will no doubt save us money when we start working with contractors. Would use him again in a heartbeat and of course will recommend him to others.

Extremely professional & insightful........Created an awesome design for a 2-story make-over and partial tear-down in the Decatur area. Worked well on timetables, excellent communication and working industry knowledge. Mark was okay to work with, he did not seem to have much insight or original ideas. He provided the drawings on time, but did not take into account any building codes when planning the house. this cost me a lot more money in the long run because I based my budget on his drawings. He also left out a very important detail regarding the foundation which cost me more money, I was lucky that the foundation contractor caught his mistake early in the project.

While we had a good idea of what we wanted, the process was made easier by all the suggestions that Mark provided. Meeting with him was made easy, by his in-home visits. He even hand delivered the final plans. The one thing that I think could be improved in the number of plan copies that are included. Most major building projects will require at least 4 copies (builder, electrician, plumber and owner). Only 2 copies were included. But on the plus side, we were provided with PDF files so that we could print as many as needed. As a whole the process went smoothly, and we were very satisfied with the level of service, architetural knowledge and professionalism. Mark...YOU ARE THE BEST!
