"We had a very good experience with Jon and the crew at Designer Lifestyles. After getting quite a few quotes from many different installers, we went with this team to replace 2,600 square feet of carpet and vinyl with wood and tile. In addition to installing the flooring, they also worked to install new outlets in our floors on the first floor and repaired a hole in the wall created as a result of the new outlets. It was quite a large job and took a bit longer than we expected, but we are very happy with the results. The crews all worked hard and did a great job. Shiloh and the wood flooring team were there every day, right on time, and were very careful with the work they did. They left at the end of each day with a plan as to what was going to happen the next day. Craig was excellent with the tile work and completed his job right on time as well. Overall, it was a very positive experience. The price was in line with the others in the area for a job this large and we believe it was fair. The only thing I would change would be our expectation for how long the job would take. It took longer than we were told, but in the end, with all things considered, we are happy with our new flooring."

After the 40 by 46 ft pad was poured I set my 6 ft level in the middle and on all four corners and it is absolutely level. Everyone was courteous and left no trash anywhere. "Zach, Dustin & Robert are consummate professionals! Zach did the initial evaluation of our crawl space, foundation, and framing and developed a solution to remedy the deficiencies. Outstanding job! Dustin and Robert implemented the solutions and in the process they identified an additional hidden issue in our floor joist. The plumber had cut away about half of a girder under a load bearing wall during construction. Needless to say Dustin and Robert developed a solution, implemented it, and literally saved our house from a catastrophic failure. These three men are an exceptional team. Their customer service skills are absolutely beyond reproach! According, they have my highest recommendation for any foundation, waterproofing or house leveling issues anyone may have!!! "He shows up on time, has terrific sub-contractors who show up and are polite, they all explain what they are doing and allow me input, no communication problems, which I highly value. The work winds up better than I asked for or expected. The pergola had to match exactly an old one, to keep the somewhat historic house community-friendly. It is perfect. The old porch columns were so bad I could kick them out (but waited for braces to be in place). Jim had the new ones in in a flash. That is part of the charm of working with JCS, things get done before you know they've started.
The wall in the basement -- probably not very difficult, I don't know, but in a spot that needed it and I hadn't thought of it, Jim did. He is a very good problem-solver. I keep thinking I am underpaying him, which is quite pleasant, really.
I can't comment much on the main house interior wall yet, it's a big project involving ductwork and electrical lines.
